Design inspiration "My garden is inspired by the vibrancy of gemstones. Colour, texture and the interplay of surface reflection enhance the experience of sanctuary and stimulation. Fragmented water pools and antiqued mirrors reflect diffused light, offering a sense of escapism befitting of a 'bejewelled' garden."
The planting is soft and informal with an emphasis on accents of deep, jewel-like colour. In tune with this relaxed scheme, two multi-stemmed golden rain trees or Koelreuteria paniculata vertically punctuate the space. Carex species offset the warm tones of the surrounding sandstone whilst forming a shimmering backdrop to colourful drifts of predominantly plum, crimson and violet planting." | | Designer, Sarah Price |
