"The challenge we faced in this garden was to encapsulate the passion and spirit of the whole North East of England into a garden of just a few square metres. Reflecting the dynamic nature of this ever-changing region, our garden is a slick modern, twist on the North East's long industrial heritage. Using traditional materials in an innovative, contemporary way, our garden juxtaposes wild meadowland planting with warm rich coloured ornamentals, to express the true spirit of the North East."
