Meryl's a warm, lovely person but she's intimidating at the best of times
The endearing Anne Hathaway made a name and face for herself in Disney's The Princess Diaries as a gawky teenage girl who discovers she's actually royalty. The film's box office success secured a sequel three years later and since then she's been chasing a more mature image, including onscreen nudity, in hip hop movie Havoc and Brokeback Mountain. The Devil Wears Prada sees Anne hold her own as a wannabe fashion journo under the icy thumb of her terrifying boss, played by screen legend Meryl Streep.
