Lili Taylor wears her American Indie badge with pride. The Illinois-born actor initially managed to balance indie pics (Say Anything..., Short Cuts, I Shot Andy Warhol, Pecker) with mainstream studio movies (Ransom, The Haunting), but has spent the noughties mixing indies with theatre and a guest spot on Six Feet Under. Now she's letting herself go as boozy old flirt Jan, in Bent Hamer's Charles Bukowski adaptation Factotum.
