Now we heard from an angry Yoko Ono yesterday (listen again here at own risk!) now a letter from her similarly-irrate late husband John Lennon, to fellow Beatle Paul McCartney, is up for auction for around £16,000.

The undated letter from the Paperback Writer, external is thought to have been penned shortly before the band split up - and you can see why.

Lennon tells his old mucker Macca: "I hope you realise what s*&! you and the rest of my ‘kind and unselfish’ friends laid on Yoko and me, since we’ve been together”.

You can find the full letter here, external and trust me, its a must-read for all Beatles fans. Whether you have a spare £16k lying around to make it a must-have is another matter entirely.

TV audiences are more used to seeing Sarah Hyland as the lovably ditzy Haley Dunphy in Modern Family but like most former child stars, she can also sing.

Renowned baritone singer Thomas Hampson has been addressing the issue of how opera and classical companies should be trying to entice younger fans.

He told In Tune presenter Sean Rafferty that classical music needs to do more to engage audiences. 

"I don't think there's a dearth of the next generation of wonderful musicians, I think we should be concerned about the next generation of wonderful audiences."

Mike Skinner, better known as The Streets, has made his debut as a director for electronic group Formation.

He has produced the promo for their track Powerful People, which features members of the UK Bike Life collective.

He compared working with Formation, made up of brothers Will and Matt Ritson to working with "two old souls of culture but in the bodies of people who are all young and sexy."

The band were nominated for best newcomer at this year’s NME Awards.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's new West end musical School of Rock opened to rave reviews on Monday night.

Based on the hit 2003 film of the same name, starring Jack Black, it tells the story of a wannabe rock star who poses as a teacher and forms a band with his students.

The Daily Telegraph gave it five stars, describing the show as "the most enjoyable few hours money can buy", while The Guardian called it "Lloyd Webber's most exuberant show in years".

Emeli Sande has released her new video for Garden, a track off her new album Long Live the Angels.

The minimal video, which looks a lot like it was shot in the greenhouse in Kew Gardens in London, features appearances by rapper Jay Electronica and poet Áine Zion.

"It is an expression of freedom and passion, two important parts of life, which I hadn't really explored until a few years ago," explained Emeli.

Long Live the Angels is currently going to head to head with Olly Murs to top this week's album chart.

In a second session before MP's looking into the secondary ticketing market in the UK (scroll down for more), the boss of Ticketmaster has claimed the ticketing firm successfully stops billions of attempted purchases by 'bots' every year.

A 'Bot' or botnet is - the software which buys up tickets online in bulk to then be resold for a profit.

Chris Edmonds the chairman of Ticketmaster UK, said: "Every time we have a major sale, we see massive bot activity trying to hit our site. We think we’re pretty good at stopping this."

He added they "prevent about 5 billion hits a year" from bots trying to harvest tickets.

Paul Peak from StubHub said: "If we have specific knowledge of a seller on our site who’s acting as a business but not declaring it, we'll take action."

But, he added: "We’re under no duty to monitor or police our site which is an important principle to maintain for e-commerce."

The man with two first names, Craig David, is to release this year’s official BBC Children in Need single, All We Needed and now we have a video to accompany it.

The song has been taken from his recent number one album Following My Intuition.

"This song is extremely personal to me," he told BBC Radio 2 last week.

It is available to download now and all profits will go to the charity

Craig is also due to perform it at the appeal show on Friday.

Tributes have been paid to legendary New York DJ and club founder David Mancuso who has died aged 72.

He founded influential club The Loft, widely regarded as the first underground clubbing scene.

His death was announced by Craig Shifty from Kid Recordings on Facebook, external.

He said: "He will be greatly missed, but, thankfully, he left the world a lasting vibrant legacy that continues to inspire and influence countless generations of music lovers and clubbers."

Annie Mac's Hottest Record on Monday was hotly-tipped teen singer Jorja Smith.

Her new track Something In The Way has definite echoes of Amy Winehouse, who she counts as a hero.

The singer, originally from Walsall in the west-Midlands released her debut Blue Lights, external earlier this year but said she has been writing for much longer.

"I've been writing since I was 11. My first proper song was called Life is a Path Worth Taking and the second one was about all the high streets closing down, after I watched a BBC documentary about The Specials.

"I based it on Ghost Town, external."

The manager of the Arctic Monkeys has told a group of MPs the number of tickets sold directly to fans is "far smaller than it should be". 

Ian McAndrew is among a group of people, including You Me At Six's Josh Franceschi, giving evidences at a Commons Select Committee which is looking into the £1bn a year secondary ticketing market.

Mr McAndrew told the MPs that the Arctic Monkeys have been approached by a big resale site, asking for tickets in exchange for share of profit but refused.

Josh told BBC Newsbeat last month that he's fed up with music fans paying "over the odds" because of systems set up by ticket touts.

Today, he added the business was losing out to touts who are "only concerned with lining their own pockets".

Family and friends of Nick Alexander, the Briton killed in last November's Paris terror attacks, will be joined by a host of rock stars for a special concert celebrating his life tonight.

The likes of Maximo Park, Frank Turner, Gaz Coombes and Fran Healy will take to the stage for A Peaceful Noise at the Shepherds Bush Empire.

Proceeds will go to The Nick Alexander Memorial Trust, as well as Josh Homme’s Sweet Stuff Foundation charity and Nick’s sister Zoe, who founded the event, said: “Live music was Nick’s passion and it seemed only fitting that we mark the anniversary of his passing in this way.

Nick was one of 90 people killed during an Eagles of Death Metal gig at the Bataclan almost exactly one year ago.

The 36-year-old was working on the band's merchandise table at the time of the attack and performer Frank Turner says he is now sorely missed.

Frank said: “Losing Nick in the horrible events in Paris was the worst part of last year; he was truly one of the good guys.

"Bringing people together in the spirit of peace and music for an evening is the least we can do for his memory, I'm honoured to be asked to play”.

The 24 Magic World Tour arrives in Glasgow on 12 April and heads around the UK and Ireland before ending in Sheffield on 6 May.

We hope she's packed some high factor sun protection as pale-skinned Londoner Adele is set to tour Australia for the first-ever time in 2017, after announcing a series of gigs with a personal hand-written note. and even started with a jokey "G'day... it's me..." 

Nice touch.

The 28-year-old megastar will play Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney in order to: "make sure I see as many of you as possible".

The gigs take place in February and March next year and tickets go on sale on Monday.

There are renewed calls in Italy to curb secondary ticketing after concert promoters Live Nation admitted that some of its tickets were put directly onto the resale website Viagogo.

It follows a TV interview in which the managing director of Live Nation Italy Roberto de Luca was presented with evidence which showed the firm's complicity in placing tickets with secondary sellers where they can be sold for vastly inflated prices.

After initially denying any involvement, he said: "I want to be clear that, to your question if Live Nation issued tickets on secondary sites and I answered no… in fact we issue some tickets. A very limited number of tickets on other sites, in this case [on] Viagogo."

The interview formed part of an undercover report which retraced the journey of a ticket as its price increased on the online secondary market from €50 ($54) to €1,050 ($1,144).

Later today, a Commons Select Committee in the UK will hear evidence from a selection of artists, managers, promoters and secondary ticketing sellers on the estimated £1bn a year industry.

Come on...we all had a good chuckle when it was announced last week that, for the first time ever, the Glamour magazine Women of the Year awards was to award a man. 

And that man was Bono.

Accepting the award in Los Angeles on Monday night, the Irish rocker admitted: "I know how ridiculous it is for me to be on this stage accepting this award. 

"But if I didn't know how ridiculous it was, I did have the blessed internet to remind me."

However, he also used his platform to call on US president-elect Donald Trump to make gender equality "a priority" .

"Unless we address this problem," he said, "both men and women together, the world will continue down this misogynistic, violent and impoverished path. 

"The train is leaving the station, be on it or be under it."

Other winners on the night included Gwen Stefani and Olympic gymnast Simone Biles.
