The website says they have "chosen [this route] as a way to record a new album with the direct participation of their audience."

The London rapper was invited to join a slightly sozzled sounding Damon Albarn and co on stage to share in the limelight as they picked up their award for Best British group at this month's awards.

Which means she'll have had a great view of Damon's slurred and thinly-veiled Brexit lecture (below)

The 24-year-old appears on the track Garage Palace, which features on the boxset edition of the animated band's last album Humanz, and was chuffed to be a part of it.

"They didn't have to do that," she told Radio 1Xtra's DJ Target (above).

"But it was like they've allowed me to share those moments with them of which I'm always grateful."

Well deserved we'd say. Sadly, Simzy raps herself out of Music News LIVE with one big swear word on her Gorillaz track but you're all grown ups and you can find it for yourselves.

BBC 6 Music

The Southport band are due to release a 20th anniversary of their debut album Bring It On, which won the Mercury Prize in 1998.

At the time of release, the NME said of the album: "No-one can believe that these dorks posing as Gomez actually made it.

"Because, believe it or not, this is one of the most assured, poised, hilarious, out-there, plain don't-give-a-**** enjoyable debut albums in living memory."

Speaking to 6 Music, Tom from the band said: "It makes you feel old, it reminds you of your mortality - like looking at an old photo of youself.

"On one level, its' lovely but on others it's really embarrassing."

She's a world conquering pop star but that doesn't mean that Lorde is above giving her younger sister a leg up in her career.

India Yelich has released a tome of her own poetry which Lorde has brought to the attention of her 7.5m Twitter followers.

BBC 6 Music

The legendary kids' TV characters are all revving up for their first ever European and UK tour.

Kermit, Miss Piggy and co will play two dates at London's O2 Arena on 13/14 July, as part of the musical and comedic extravaganza.

Matt Everitt of 6 Music interviewed the famous furry friends earlier and recalled Dave Grohl's epic drum off with Animal in the Muppets Movie, as well as their collab with Blondie singer Debbie Harry, external.

Miss Piggy said of the Foo Fighter: "He's a wonderful musician. I love him as a person. I love him a man...he's hot.

"There's electricity between moi and nearly every male co-star I've ever had."

Miss P apparently confirmed on Channel 4's The Last Leg on Friday that her and Kermit are no longer an item and that she is single and ready to mingle.

The big story on Monday was the return of The Rolling Stones to the UK touring circuit for the first time in 12 years.

They'll play a series of huge gigs in Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff and London this summer as part of the final leg of their No Filter tour.

We were all pretty excited about that news.

Stones drummer Charlie Watts however could take it or leave it, it seems.

Charlie told The Guardian; “I love playing the drums and I love playing with Mick and Keith and Ronnie, I don’t know about the rest of it."

“It wouldn’t bother me if the Rolling Stones said 'that’s it... enough'.”

It seems sentimentality just isn't for Charlie as he went on to add to that, while it was sad, David Bowie's death in 2016 had not quite moved him in the same manner as many music fans.

“I thought people would have been very sad obviously, and he was a lovely guy and he wrote a couple of good songs.

"But for me, he wasn’t this musical genius.”

As for the future? Well, the now clean living 76-year-old is just taking it one gig at a time.

“For me, I would like to be standing on Sunday 8 July at the end of the show in Warsaw. That’s as far as I can see.

Egyptian music star Sherine Abdel Wahab has been sentenced to six months in prison for questioning whether it is safe to drink water from the River Nile.

Sherine, one of the country's most famous singers - and a judge on the Arabic version of The Voice TV show - told a fan it might give them parasites.

"Drink Evian instead," she joked.

Sherine was convicted by a court in Cairo of spreading false news and ordered to pay 5,000 Egyptian pounds (£204) as bail, in addition to a fine of 10,000 pounds.

Another singer, Laila Amer, has also been sentenced to two years in prison because of a music video.

Amer was found guilty of "inciting debauchery and immorality".

The director and another actor were sentenced to shorter terms.

In December, singer Shaimaa Ahmed was also jailed for two years for appearing in a music video in her underwear while suggestively eating a banana.

The US singer paid tribute to the students by bringing them up on stage during the first gig of her Tell Me You Love Me tour in San Diego.

The 25-year-old kicked off her world tour by honouring six survivors who had escaped the attack at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on Valentine's Day.

Nikolas Cruz, 19, stormed the school with an assault rifle and killed 17 people.

"On February 14, one of the worst mass shootings in American history took place. These students were in school that day," said Demi, who encouraged fans to donate to CAST Foundation, a non-profit organisation she backs to help people with mental health and addiction problems.

"Let's come together as Lovatics, as people," she added.

Multicultural hype band of the moment Superorganism release their self-titled debut album on Friday.

It's been quite a whirlwind for the international eight-piece, who only really formed a year ago, with members of all ages and from all corners of the globe moving to a house in east London to be together in their own personal hit factory.

Tracks like Something For Your M.I.N.D and Everybody Wants To Be Famous became instant indie hits and regular kitchen summits at SO towers are being called to decide on the next one.

"Every room has got something going on at all times," Harry from the band told the BBC.

"It's kind of a non-stop pop production house."

The Colombian superstar paid the hefty bill of nearly £18m to Spanish authorities who accused her of not paying taxes despite being a resident of Barcelona between 2011 and 2014.

The Catalan newspaper, El Periodico, reported the Grammy-winner paid the money "to settle part of the debt".

Shakira is in a relationship with FC Barcelona and former Manchester United footballer Gerard Pique (pictured together above), with whom she has two sons.

She officially transferred her residency to the Catalan city in 2015.

Until then, it was in the Bahamas. But authorities claimed it didn't "match reality, with the children in school in Barcelona and her partner here".

Shakira' spokesman said, until 2014, she earned most of her money touring internationally and didn't live more than six months a year in Spain which exempted her from paying tax.

The most successful Brit Awards artist of all time has been speaking about his ongoing mental health battles, telling The Sun newspaper, external: "Left to my own devices, I’m inclined to sabotage everything".

He described his battle against depression saying "I’ve got a disease that wants to kill me and it’s in my head, so I have to guard against that."

In September last year, In an interview with the Sunday Times, the former Take That star said; "This job is really bad for my health. It's going to kill me. Unless I view it in a different way."

The singer's latest album, The Heavy Entertainment Show topped the UK album chart, giving him his twelfth number one.

"Sometimes it overwhelms me and sometimes it’s a tool I need to get on stage. Sometimes I live in bliss and it’s wonderful," he said in the new interview.

“But most of the time I’m human — having a human experience, ­trying to deal with the trials and tribulations of what goes on between my ears."

All five Spice Girls have been invited to attend the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle later this year, Scary Spice Mel B has said.

Appearing on a US talk show, she nodded when asked if they were going, before clarifying that "us five Spice Girls" had each received an invitation.

She also sparked speculation they could perform at the wedding, joking she would be fired if she said any more.
