In what is now becoming an alarmingly growing trend, the rock legend's pet bird Biggy Pop now has his own Instagram account.

Watch above as he responds to his master's mention of the H word - a day early - by going crazy, chewing a bat and playing with a Chucky doll.

"Have no fear, Biggy is here."

It's all very confusing but equally funny.

Despite posting such social media gold however, Biggy still has a long way to catch up with Ed Sheeran's cats Dorito and Calippo, external, who have more than 375k followers online.

Not to mention Ariana Grande's pet Piggy Smalls, who rose to international fame after making it into her music video for the track Breathin., external

The US-Colombian singer has shared a technicoloured new video for her track, Just a Stranger, which features Steve Lacy.

There's lots of $100 bills being thrown around and on occasion, hung out to dry on the washing line.

I'm sure we've all done that at some point or other when the washer/dryer was being used by someone else.

The road from four-time UK beatboxing champion, external to electro-pop star is definitely one less travelled but that's one of the many things that makes Grace Savage unique.

Add to that an inspirational TedX talk about gender inequality and an appearance at the National Theatre in one of its most talked about plays.

"I think I've always secretly wanted to be a singer from when I was a child," she says.

"But I never thought I could sing and I never had a musical family or anything like that so I sort of fell in love with the beatboxing first and that would be my way in to being a vocal performer.

"It's taken a long time to get over a real fear about singing for a long time and I guess the more you do of something the more easily you get over it.

"Now I would say I'm more a singer-songwriter first and a beatboxer second. It's kind of flipped."

Though Grace has been incorporating singing into her beat boxing routine for some time, it's only recently that she decided to launch herself into the discipline full time.

She released her debut EP Savage Grace in 2017 and was nominated in two categories at the Unsigned Music Awards.

In September, Grace's latest single, the club-friendly Running Under Water was playlisted on Radio 1 as BBC Music Introducing Track Of The Week.

To add to the plaudits, she has also been listed as one of Elle magazine’s 100 Most Inspiring Women.

But how did the beatboxing community take the news?

"I don't have the capacity to just stick to beatboxing for my entire life," says Grace.

"I'm naturally drawn to other things, so many people are surprised when I started doing songs and stuff but some people often say I should do more beatboxing.

"I tend to pepper in between songs now, it seems like a nice little surprise. I'm learning the balance between beatboxing and singing to see what audiences like."

Five years ago, Grace participated in the National production of Nadia Fall's Home, external, a verbatim piece about young people living in homeless hostels, alongside fellow artist Shakka and actress Michaela Coel.

"I'm still auditioning for stuff and got close to a couple of TV roles and stuff but the acting world is harsh man, like you go for auditions and often you don't even hear back.

This summer, Grace was invited to give a TEDX talk at the Royal Festival Hall in front of an audience of 2,000.

A terrifying prospect for someone who says they are "not really a public speaker".

"I think they were trying anything where they get a musical performance to break it up with a bit of light relief, basically, because the talks can be quite intense and heavy.

"I thought I can't not do a Ted talk, like you get asked to do that once in your life. So I thought about what I would want to talk about, something that happened to me recently after the UK Beatbox Championships and so I ended up giving a talk on sexism and misogyny and working in a sort of male-dominated area."

The incident Grace is referring to was a particularly ugly encounter with the comments section of YouTube.

"I have had comments from people that say sexist things. One of them was from an Asian Beatbox Champion. He contacted me and said, 'Oh my God, I've just found out I've been part of your Ted talk and not for a good reason'.

"He said 'I'm so sorry. That's very irresponsible of me. I just used to troll videos when I was younger and I realise that it has an impact on people and I apologise'."

Aside from changing the world one person at a time, Grace says she has been hard at work in the studio where she has been working on around a dozen songs to add to the several she has already released this year.

"I was freaked out the word 'album'. Actually, I guess it does feel like the right time. And that's what I'm doing. There's no concrete plans, like a release date or anything but fingers crossed they're will be an album in 2019."

And if we made her choose between continuing as one of the UK's foremost beatboxers or becoming a singer?

"Ooh, I don't think I could ever choose, if I'm being honest, I really enjoy the process of creating both, coming up with a routine and practising it on a loop station and when it comes to singing. I enjoy the freedom of telling stories.

"I couldn't. I couldn't choose."

The Bristol trip-hop pioneers will treat Mezzanine to a UK and Ireland tour for its 21st birthday next year.

The 1998 record became an alternative hit thanks to tracks like Teardrop (above) and Angel and a special edition will be re-released next month.

Robert Del Naja - aka 3D - from the band said: "It’s going to be a one off piece of work; our own personalised nostalgia nightmare head trip."

The quote is a humourous nod to the singer's comments last year, when he criticised DJ Pete Tong for including their track, Unfinished Sympathy, in his orchestral Ibiza Classics show, by saying: "Thanks for covering one of our songs on your nostalgia nightmare roadshow”.

Awkward. At least he's got a sense of humour about it.

The tour begins in Glasgow on 28 January and culminates in a home town gig in Bristol on 1 March.

Earlier, we told you Jesy, Leigh-Anne, Jade and Perrie had been dragged into the ongoing feud between rappers Cardi B and Nicki Minaj after the former claimed she was offered the latter's guest slot on the UK band's above new track first.

Little Mix confirmed Nicki was in fact their first choice and have now written a fuller response, explaining their decision, while declaring their love for both artists.

"We love and respect both Nicki and Cardi B," they wrote.

"Both were approached by our label...

"We went with Nicki because like we've said over and over for years, it's been a dream of ours to work with her since the beginning."

The Coventry ska band will play 31 dates across the UK and Ireland in support of their newly-announced album, Encore.

The record is out on 1 February 2019.

Next year will also mark 40 years since their formation and that of the legendary Two-Tone label in Coventry in 1979.

Terry Hall and the gang will kick-off their tour in Dublin on 11 April and end up at London's Brixton Academy on 16 May.

The You Got the Love singer has revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The 78-year-old from Alabama, who also had a hit with Young Hearts Run Free, was apparently told the news on the first day of rehearsals for her tour earlier this year.

In a statement the singer - who is due to begin 12 weeks of chemotherapy - said: "After all I've gone through in my life...it's the last thing I ever expected to go through, but I'm going through it and I plan to beat it."

Her biggest hit was famously covered by Florence + the Machine and you can watch her performing it at Glastonbury Festival in 2008.

Apparently 144.3M followers just doesn't cut it anymore.

The US singer announced last month she's actually taking another break from social media - pointing to "negative comments".

Since taking her eyes off the screen she's now been narrowly dethroned by Portuguese footy star Cristiano Ronaldo, who is closer to the 144.4M mark.

Ariana Grande is the third most followed Instagram user, followed by Kim Kardashian-West.

The singer and producer has told Donald Trump to stop playing his music at political events.

It comes after the US leader attended a rally in Indiana on Saturday where the song Happy was played.

The event was held just hours after 11 people were killed in a mass shooting in Pittsburgh.

A letter issued through Pharrell's lawyer said there was nothing "happy" about the tragedy and "no permission was granted" to use the song.

Unfortunately for Pharrell, there is little he can do about it.

US copyright laws let politicians use recorded music at rallies - as long as the venue has a public performance licence.

Pharrell could complain his image and reputation is being damaged by the repeated use of a song without their express permission.

Other bands who have objected to Mr Trump's use of their music include Aerosmith, Adele and The Rolling Stones.

The clip has been released ahead of a new documentary about the singer.

The performance was filmed in February 2008 in London - the same night Amy won five Grammys, including Record Of The Year (watch below).

She could not attend the ceremony in Los Angeles in person after her Visa application was rejected by the US.

She dedicated the award to London, ("Camden town ain't burnin' down") and her then-husband "my Blake... incarcerated."

Back To Black, which will be released on DVD on 2 November will look at the making of album of the same name and will feature interviews with producers Mark Ronson and Saleem Remi.

This is all getting a bit silly now but at least it seems to be reaching some sort of endgame (we hope).

Cardi B has posted a series of angry rants against her fellow rapper on Instagram, basically offering to settle their feud once and for all.

Before we go on let's quickly recap some recent events in the ongoing beef.

• Nicki and Cardi were involved in a brawl at New York Fashion Week in September
• Cardi's sister then claimed thar Nicki leaked the new mum's phone number
• Nicki claimed that Cardi had been attacked by a US reality TV star at the event rather than security.

Now, in a series of online videos, Cardi has claimed - using some pretty strong language - that she was offered Nicki's rap on the new Little Mix track, Woman Like Me, external, first.

She demonstrated by showing an early version of the track she'd been sent with an instrumental 'open verse' where the rap would go.

"Since you said you're tired of talking about it, I'm tired of talking about it too," Cardi went on to say, pointing out that she's listened to Nicki's music since high school.

"If you really want to talk about it you know how to link me."

She added: "We can settle it however you want to settle it

"We can talk or about it or we can fight it out."

Let's hope Nicki's up for the former.

Little Mix have denied Cardi's latest claims saying they "always wanted the Queen" on the new track.

Perhaps wisely adding: "(No shade)."

Cardi had been responding to Nicki's tweet saying that she wants an end to the feud, despite continually bringing it up on her Beats 1 radio show.

"I know this stuff is entertaining & funny to a lot of people but i won't be discussing this nonsense anymore," Nicki wrote.

Surely there's only one way of solving all of this...

Rap off, anyone?

It was filmed a few weeks ago but we've had our first glimpse of the BBC's forthcoming special on the singer.

In the new clip, Ariana, wearing a full-length black a-line dress, performs God is a Woman, backed by a full orchestra of female musicians.

In the programme, which is hosted by Davina McCall, she also talk about her battles with mental health, saying her anxiety causes her to feel “guilty”.

“You have ups and downs and sometimes you’ll go weeks at a time where you will be crushing it and there will be no anxiety," she tells the presenter, "and then something will happen that can trigger it and then you have a couple of down days.”

Last week, the singer announced the first dates (all in the US) for her Sweetener world tour, which is her first since the Manchester concert attack.

The legendary singer/songwriter - who penned pop classics like You've Got a Friend, A Natural Woman and Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow - has returned with her first new track in seven years.

One, is an updated version of the last track from King's 1977 album Simple Things and the 76-year-old told Rolling Stone magazine that it's about "empowering people who feel hopeless to do whatever they can as one person."

The staunch Democrat supporter, who appeared alongside Hillary Clinton at a recent convention, wanted to release the song, with a new final verse, in time for the upcoming midterms.

It contains the new line: At the end of the day / We’ll be able to say love won.

"The song's grown on me in a different way.

"Maybe I was actually talking about my own insecurities rather than what I think the other person's dealing with."
