But it is time for us to go.

Scroll down for news of The Rolling Stones' A-list support for their UK shows this summer, tributes to Avicii, Eminem marking a decade of sober living, Shania Twain saying sorry for backing Trump and some great performances from Friday night's #SLFN.

We'll leave with this lovely little number from Yusuf/Cat Stevens to mark the birth of a third child for Prince William and Kate - a bouncing baby boy.

Some sage words of advice above for the littlest Windsor.

    See you all tomorrow.

Ben from UK country stars The Shires has been out and about their new album and tour, alongside bandmate Crissie Rhodes.

However any minute now, like Prince Harry, he might find himself required to drop the microphone/guitar and go put on some scrubs.

  3. Van Morrison takes aim at fake newspublished at 15:03 BST 23 April 2018

    BBC Radio 4

    Media caption,

Van Morrison on jazz, fake news and Astral Weeks

In his 2003 song Goldfish Bowl, Van Morrison sings: "Newspaper barons are the scum of the lowest degree / And they prey on everybody".

So it's no surprise that he holds the press in low esteem.

"The media makes things up," the star told BBC Radio 4's Today programme.

"I've been talking about fake news from day one," he continued.

    Quote Message

But back then, when you said, 'this is made up,' they'd just dump on you more. So I had to put it in songs eventually.

The Northern Irish singer, who is responsible for some of the most extraordinary music of the last century, said he had grown wary of the press in his early days, as part of R&B group Them.

"We had to do a lot of interviews when we started. You do that when you're a kid, but later on you realise it's pointless," he said.

"It's funny, the whole star-celebrity media... It's like the song, 'You build me up to knock me down' [by] Hank Williams.

"That's what the game is, sir."

You don't have to wait long now for Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino to officialy open for busniness (11 May) but when it does, don't expect to find the amps turned up to 11 inside.

Their sixth album was apparently nearly not a Monkeys record at all and almost an Alex Turner solo record, due to it's lo-fi nature.

In their first full interview ahead of its release, the Monkeys frontman told music mag Mojo, external that a lot of it - for the first time - was written on a new Steinway piano.

A method that helped the 32-year-old out of a bit of a songwriting rut.

    Quote Message

I have to find ways to trick myself into writing songs. But this time, I’d run out of tricks…

“I was lost and didn’t really have any ideas about what I was going to do.”

Glad to hear the Steinway has undone the writer's block.

The new edition of Mojo is out this week.

In case you're a bit befuddled by this one following her stellar headline slot last weekend, then we should point out that Coachella Festival actually takes place over two consecutive weekends.

It's pretty much the same lineup for both, but as we saw earlier with Ariana, sometimes weekend two comes with a fresh twist.

That was certainly the case with Beyonce - who like last week brought out her old band Destiny's Child, her hubby Jay-Z and her sister Solange - as she invited Colombian superstar J Balvin out to join her for a rendition of his Latino international smash hit Mi Gente.

That's 'My People' to all you non Spanish speakers out there (ourselves included).

Solange - who will headline this year's Latitude Festival - certainly played her part in another memorable night for the Knowles family.

However, as Jason points out on twitter (above) this was a masterclass in how to brush off a big slip.

They were joined on Friday night's show by Jorja Smith, Craig David, Charlie Puth and Canadian teenager Shawn Mendes (below).

Nile Rodgers (more from him below too) was also talking to Dotty talking about his guitar, dubbed 'The Hitmaker', which has apparently played on $3bn worth of music.

See if Nile beat Little Mix and/or Gary Barlow when he played a full gig in just a minute with the band in sound check.

They certainly have enough funky hits to select from.

The Scots DJ's ninth UK number one; the Balearic beats of One Kiss, climbed from three to one in Friday evening's charts, having amassed a combined total of over 70,000 units (7.1 million streams and 22,000 downloads)

The song is Dua's second chart-topper too, following 2017 smash hit New Rules, so she still has a way to go to reach Calvin, who now joins the likes of ABBA, Spice Girls and Rihanna on the 11-strong list of acts in chart history to rack up nine or more number one singles.

Here's how they did it (below).

Where did they plug the telly in though? Must be solar-panels?...

You'l almost definitely hear this one on dancefloors across Ibiza this summer.

We're not sure what he means by "hand producing" the albums, unless he is planning on whittling them all down individually using a small pocket knife.

It also seems Kanye is not one for hanging about.

He hasn't given himself a huge amount of time to work on each of the albums he has previously tweeted about, from the likes of Pusher T, King Cudi and Teyana Taylor, as they're all coming out one per week from 25 May.

    Why the rush?

Still, a new one from Nas, which has got to be interesting.

A police source in Oman has said there is no suspicion of criminal activity after Swedish DJ superstar Avicii was found dead in Muscat at the weekend.

According to an AFP report, two post mortems have been carried out on the 28-year-old and there is "no criminal suspicion".

Avicii - whose real name of Tim Bergling - retired form touring in 2016 due to health issues including pancreatitis, triggered in part by excessive drinking.

He was one of the world's most successful DJs, earning more than £20m a year.

His premature death has left fans and fellow musicians in deep shock.

Fans gathered in his native Stockholm to pay tribute to him.

Fellow DJs such as David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Skrillex also took to social media to pay respects.

    Let's Spend the Night Together...

As if seeing The Rolling Stones isn't a big enough spectacle, the band have now announced a host of superstar guests who will open up for them on the UK leg of their No Filter tour this summer.

Glastonbury headliner from 2015, Florence and the Machine will support "one of our biggest influences" at one of their London Stadium gigs next month, while rock 'n' roll star Liam Gallagher will - for once - happily play second fiddle to "the best rock n roll band EVER" at another gig in the capital a few days earlier.

Last year, in an interview with GQ magazine the former Oasis frontman said of his Stones counterpart's dance moves; "Fair play to ol’ dinosaur hips, but I’m not that man. I’m anti-entertainment. Poor sod, he’s got to dance until he’s 108."

Liam's good pal Richard Ashcroft (of Verve fame) will get things started in Manchester and Edinburgh and further support on the tour will come from the likes of Elbow, The Specials and The Vaccines.

James Bay can barely believe that he'll be warming up the Twickenham crowds for Mick, Keef and the lads.

"Is this for real?" he wrote.

Turns out sometimes you can get what you want, after all.
