UK electro artist Bonobo popped in to see RadMac at their temporary home at the Manchester International Fesitval.

His new album is called Migration, and Bonobo wrote much of it while living between two places.

He tells Stuart and Mark about his nomadic lifestyle and the influence of other nations' music on his work.

This time yesterday afternoon quite a lot of Green Day fans in (or on their way to) Glasgow were left bitterly disappointed by the late cancellation of their gig due to the stage at Bellahouston Park being deemed unsafe.

While the Californian punk band apologised, saying they were "very sad" and promising to return, support band Slaves set about arranging an impromptu replacement gig.

The Tunbridge Wells punk duo performed at ABC2 alongside Baby Strange and ensured many travelling fans did not go away empty handed.

Bath five-piece Bad Sounds talk to Annie Mac about the emotional moment of quitting their day jobs in order to go full-time with this music thing.

But we don't want you to have missed anything. That's our first amendment here at MNL.

Neil Young + Promise of the Real posted a patriotic new video for their new track Children of Destiny.

On it, the Canadian rocker cries: Stand up for what you believe / Resist the powers that be.

The video combines footage of recent large-scale protests alongside patriotic scenes of kiddiewinks waving star-spangled flags.

Neil's collaborators feature Willie Nelson's sons Lukas and Micah Nelson.

A Swedish comic Emma Knyckare has announced plans for a "man-free" music festival in Sweden following reports of rape and sexual assault at Bravalla, the biggest music festival in the country, for a second year running.

Bravalla has been cancelled for next year.

"What do you think about putting together a really cool festival where only non-men are welcome?" she tweeted.

She said it would take place "until all men have learned how to behave".

After last year's Bravalla, organisers apologised and bands like Mumford & Sons boycotted the event.

Despite sounding like a new Marvel Comics production, Deadcrush; the new track by Alt-J was crowned as the Hottest Record In The World last night by the one and only Annie Mac.

Annie spoke to Gus from the Leeds indie trio directly from Lyon in France and confesses - quite morbidly - who her deadcrush is...

On Independence Day Gus also reveals that the band decided to stay with an indie label who "get that we are weird" rather than signing with one of the big boys.

Our hearing has just about returned after watching their Glasto set but Foo Fighters just keep on rocking regardless.

They debuted a jangly new track, Dirty Water in Paris last night.

There's a soft melodic bit at the start then a loud shouty bit... basically if you like Foo Fighters then you'll love it.

We hope it appears on new record Concrete and Gold when it arrives on 15 September. Still no word though on which mega "pop star" will make a guest appearance on the album.

All we know is that Beyonce has just had twins and Adele has a sore throat...

Katy Perry has been criticized after telling her dog "let's go chase some koalas" in an advert for an Australian department store chain.

The singer is in the country to promote her tour next year and has launched a series of online promotions, external with Myer.

The company says it's working to remove the "offensive comments" after criticism from a leading vet. who called it "absolute ignorance".

Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke has been explaining his return to "just six strings and a voice" for his new solo album Fatherland.

The new record, inspired by becoming a new dad to daughter Savannah, features duets with Olly Alexander from Years & Years and Corinne Bailey Rae and is out in October.

It's a massive departure in sound from his indie-electro band and his previous solo work, as you can hear from his new song Streets Been Talkin' below - in which he brilliantly rhymes 'Palace of Versailles' with 'streets of Peckham Rye'

Remember last week when US 'it-girls' Kylie and Kendal Jenner caused a storm by printing their own faces over classic band T-shirts.

Well Arcade Fire do.

The featured the girls faces on their own merch for sale at the first of two shows at London's York Hall last night.

In keeping with sardonic theme of the promotion for forthcoming album Everything Now, the band displayed a satirical disclaimer on the wall for gig-goers from The Everything Now Corporation.

It pointed out that by entering the venue, everybody was automatically waving their own image rights and that their personal information could be used. Also that they had automatically been subscribed to the print edition of an advertising magazine and that their bank details had also been scanned to make "checkout quick and easy for all future transactions."

At least we think/hope it was satirical.

The band played in the centre of the boxing venue with the crowd gathered around them, as they performed tracks off their new album and some old indie classics.

They also debuted new track Chemistry and you can check out some fan shot footage below.

Finally here's multi-instrumentalist band member Will Butler's song for first US President George Washington - to mark Independence Day yesterday.

Anything You Want borrows from the Roy Orbison song of the same name and shares Will's own take on American history.

Yesterday we brought you the sad news that Ed Sheeran has quit Twitter.

Now another pop superstar Lady Gaga has defended Ed's decision to go offline because of cyber bullies and keyboard warriors.

She's posted the above pic of the two of them together, saying the singer/songwriter "deserves all our love and respect like all humans do".

She puts it down to jealousy and is therefore urging us all to "work harder to be kinder".

Gaga said: "What an incredible talented artist I LOVE ED. [He] deserves all our love and respect like all humans do. I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and apart of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean.

In light of recent attacks in the city, Radiohead's two Manchester Arena gigs were merged into another joyous evening at Old Trafford Cricket Ground last night.

The band mixed up the set list from their glorious Glasto headline slot, by including new old track I Promise, external and the lesser played title track off 1995 album The Bends, external.

Thom introduced the track by urging the crowd to “please sing along, because I’ll probably forget the first verse,"

Judging by some fan shot footage below the band's army of fans have not forgotten any of the words.

At Worthy Farm, Thom and co finished with Karma Police and did the same last night...

But perhaps the big news of the night was the miracle in the crowd that saw a headless man brought back to life for a boogie.

Last year, judge Jarvis Cocker helped Skepta make this face (below) when he won for his album Konnichiwa.

There are some strong contenders this year - The xx? London Grammar? Loyle Carner? Laura Marling? Or will Stormzy make it two years running for a grime artist?
