Apparently "Dr Dre is not a medical doctor'".

Who knew? And more importantly, why did Eminem tell him to operate?

Hip-hop star Dr Dre - real name Andre Young - has lost a long-running trademark dispute against a gynaecologist with a similar name.

The case was first lodged in 2015, when Pennsylvania-based gynaecologist Draion M Burch tried to trademark the name Dr Drai.

Dr Dre objected, saying the similarity could cause "confusion", especially as his near-namesake wanted to sell audio books and seminars under the moniker.

But the US trademark office has disagreed and dismissed Dr Dre's case.

  11. Welcome back to the Junglepublished at 11:56 BST 9 May 2018

    BBC Radio 1

This is news that makes us happy men here on Music News LIVE.

Their self-titled debut was one of the most satisfying sounds of 2014, now Jungle have dropped two new tracks from their long-awaited second LP.

Happy Man carries all their usual catchy beats as well as a warning regarding the true external/internal nature of happiness.

Buy yourself a dream, how's it looking?/ Buy yourself a car and a house to live in/ Get yourself a girl, someone different / Buy yourself a dream and it won't mean nothing.

The tune was selected as the Hottest Record in the world by Radio 1's Grimmy (in for Annie Mac) and the band told the DJ they've been testing the new tracks live on the road before finishing them in the studio.

They said: "You're playing a song and people are listening and if you go to a middle-eight and its wrong everyone in the audience is just like 'change it!'

    "I think it's quite democratic."

Listen above and here's a handy guide to what he's talking about.

A second new track, House in LA, fittingly, is a more chilled affair, with the band indulging in some interpretive dance on top of said house.

South London punks Shame say they were "honoured" to make their live UK TV debut last night on Later...with Jools Holland.

Like many people this weekend in the UK, singer Charlie Steen went #topsoff for their high octave performance (see above).

Last week, the band came under criticism from The Sun for having taken a government music grant - to help with their US tour - despite having been critical of Prime Minister Theresa May in one of their songs's; Visa Vulture.

Speaking to Music News LIVE just before last night's show, Charlie described the tabloid attack as "disgraceful".

"We got a message from our manager saying 'heads up' The Sun might be slagging you off today," he said.

"We found it hilarious. A lot of this band is based on the underlying element of humour and we don’t like to take things too seriously.

    Quote Message

But I think that the article choosing to focus on our politics and singling us out as a band, like; 'any creatives that don't support the Conservative party shouldn’t have funding' is disgraceful.

When the true topic is clearly about the state of government funding for the arts, that is what should’ve been talked about. It's ridiculous that we live in a country... America is the same, where there’s no funding on the creative industry.

    "It was just worthless words."

He added: "Although we definitely have strong opinions on political and social matters, I think we just found it hilarious how they could print something on that matter.

"With that fund, we got £18,000 for our American tour, where we were going to lose £20,000 so we didn’t actually make any profit on it.

"I think there was maybe seven other artists who got a grant and we were very grateful that we got it - it did save our arse.

"But in the grand scheme of things... My mum always says the closest thing creatives have to funding is the dole."

The Department for International Trade told the BBC that since 2014, the government has put £2.6 million into the Music Exports Growth Scheme, external and that the latest round of funding saw them commit £295,000 "to help UK artists achieve success in overseas markets."

Other artists who have received grants include Editors, Dream Wife, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes and Nina Nesbitt.

Shame will perform at the Belfast leg of the BBC's Biggest Weekend.

More from Eurovision now, where the excitement is building in Lisbon.

Wurst, the 29-year-old artist (above) who won the contest for Austria in 2014 says she still feels the need to prove she's more than a drag act.

"It's easy to say, 'This is just a joke.' You know, the bearded lady? And I feel the need to smash it with every performance just because I want to be clear this is not a joke."

She added: "It's the story of my life and the story of so many people in the LGBTIQ community.

The Spice Ladies better get their stories straight.

A few weeks ago, Posh told Vogue magazine: "I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.".

Now, speaking on Loose Women, Mel B has poured more petrol on the reunion rumour flames by saying: "It's going to be a bit of everything, if it were me, we'd go on tour immediately.

    "Maybe we will soon."

Which puts us pretty much back to where we have been for the past ten years.

If they've decided not to tour again, luckily there is a potential replacement.

The Backstreet Boys went full drag when they dressed as the Girls as they played on a fan cruise at the weekend.

They wrote: "Celebrating all of the girl power that’s kept us going for 25 years."

One of the biggest celeb feuds could be coming to a rather lovely poetic end.

Katy Perry has apparently sent Taylor Swift an actual olive branch - a symbol of peace with its origins in the Bible - to mark the start of Tay's Reputation tour.

The pair reportedly fell out in a row over backing dancers, the feud inspired Taylor's Bad Blood while Swish Swish was said to be Katy's response.
