That's us done for the day, scroll down for some truly brilliant pop star Halloween costumes, a big award for Selena Gomez, a new high street food retailer gets into the music market, new music from Young Fathers and Gorillaz and some of the great performances from Later... with Jools.

Now, earlier we told you about the Kiwi-related accident that befell poor Harry Styles as he slipped on a kiwi fruit at Hammersmith Apollo (scroll down).

Well, as it turns out, young Mr Styles has developed something of a habit in the getting-hit-by-things stakes.

Shoes, glowsticks, shoes, bras, shoes... you name it.

We were going to show you a lot of different videos, luckily the people at Hollywood Life have beaten us to it (above).

Note this video is from 2015, he has probably been hit by a lot more since.

    Hope so.

Annie Mac had the amps ramped up to 11 last night for a special Radio 1 Rocks show with Daniel P Carter live from Maida Vale.

On one of the loudest shows of the year so far had performances from Enter Shikari, Architects, Neck Deep, PVRIS, Marmozets and Arcane Roots.

All of which meant Annie couldn't exactly have a soft piano ballad as her Hottest Record. Thankfully the "neon-haired" Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes had put the final touches on their Spray Paint Love.

Check it out below and then listen back to the full show - if you think you can handle it.

Up and coming BBC Introducing singer-songwriter Jade Bird tackled a Kate Bush classic for Huw Stephens on Radio 1's Piano Sessions.

Hey, remember that time months ago when everyone got super-excited because Geri, Mel B and Emma Bunton had been spotted entering a recording studio, external in London.

Bits of music even leaked on the the world wide interweb and everyone thought a new single was coming out for the 20th anniversary of the Spice Girls' Wannabe and then... nothing.

Well, now Geri has told Red magazine why - and it turns out it's because she couldn't convince all five girls to take part (let's be honest, she means Mel C and Victoria).

"I really pushed to get everyone back together. It got to the point where I just had to let it go," she said.

"I still love the girls, and there are other bits and bobs in the pipeline."

The full interview appears in the December issue of Red, on sale now.

Some of the house band are giving Dave a run for his money though with their costumes, don't you think?

Kristen Bell, dressed as Magnum PI-era Tom Selleck. even joined him for a musical mash-up the likes of which you've never seen.

He best known as the tight-trousered lead singer of NYC art disco rockers Scissor Sisters, now Jake Shears has shared his debut solo single Creep City.

“I’ve not put out much out the last five years - musically that is - other than a collaboration here or there,” he told Billboard, external.

"There was a moment in time, that I really wasn’t interested in making a solo record. I found the notion a little cheesy.

"But I was talking with a friend one day and he said: ‘There’s no issue with you making a solo record - as long as it’s fantastic. I took that to heart."

That's the approach we take to posts in Music News LIVE.

So stop what you're doing and listen above. Personally we're on board with any song that has piano and a sax solo.

In fairness, one of them really is playing a pair of scissors. YES, SCISSORS...They must be jazz scissors.

She Taught Me How To Fly is the third track taken from Gallagher Senior's forthcoming new album Who Built The Moon? and you can watch him performing it above on the final episode of this series of Later...with Jools Holland.

Music stars including Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Mark Ronson, Emeli Sande and Paul Weller have been taking a trip down music memory lane in order to help find families for children in orphanages around the world.

The End The Silence, external campaign, founded by Hope and Homes for Children is aiming to find homes for 120,000 children suffering in silence and neglect in Ugandan and Rwandan orphanages.

"Songs and memories go together very well. you can pinpoint a certain time you heard a song based on a memory" said Ed.

    Quote Message

Anyone not having family in their life, or music in their life or stability... I think that's a very sad thing.

    Watch above.

Mark Waddington, CEO of Hope and Homes for Children, said: “Deprived of love, life, and hope, these children grow up in silence. They never hear laughter or music. These children will never experience the love and protection only a family can offer.

“The idea of a childhood of silence and neglect in an orphanage – without love, family and music - is unacceptable."

  13. Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize speech to be turned into a bookpublished at 11:15 GMT 1 November 2017

    Bob DylanImage source, PA

Bob Dylan’s 27-minute long acceptance speech for the Nobel Prize for Literature, external is being released as a book.

Publisher Simon & Schuster, external have printed the speech as a slim 32-page volume with a limited edition of 10 copies signed and numbered.

Though that will set you back a cool $2,500.

He was awarded the prize in 2016 but didn't accept it until June of this year, with a speech referencing books like Moby Dick, All Along the Western Front, and Homer's The Odyssey.

After the speech, it was noted by someone how similar it was to some passages from online study guide SparkNotes. An investigation by Slate magazine was prompted by the discovery that the musician had quoted a passage which does not appear in any current editions of Herman Melville's novel.

Dylan quoted a Quaker priest who, in the aftermath of a storm at sea, tells another character: "Some men who receive injuries are led to God, others are led to bitterness."

It noted another 19 similarities between Dylan's decollections and the SparkNotes summaries.

The man himself has not responded to the claims.

    GorillazImage source, Gorilaz

Damon Albarn's all-star animated hip-hop side project Gorillaz have just released a new song, Garage Palace, featuring British rapper Little Simz.

The song premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show, where Albarn spoke glowingly of his latest collaborator.

"I just was really struck by her kind of individualism," he said. “She's just not part of a scene, and I think that's great for her."

Garage Palace is a bonus track on the forthcoming deluxe edition of the band's number two album, Humanz.

The video, which was released on Tuesday night, is animated in the style of a classic arcade shoot-em-up, with the band battling bosses and reaching check-points before the inevitable "insert coin to continue" message pops up.

There is a swear word in the song though so we can't bring it to you directly but if you promise not to be offended then you can find it on YouTube., external

We think he styled it out in that yellow suit though. Don't you? (see above).

Harry very nearly took a tumble at the Hammersmith Apollo in London last night after fans threw kiwi fruit at him during his performance of his suitably named new single.

"As some of you may have seen i nearly slipped a little earlier on", said the concerned singer, addressing the crowd like an irked supply teacher (below).

"It appears there as an actual kiwi thrown on stage".

Cue delighted screams and laughter from the crowd.

He added: "Has anyone else brought any fruit? Shame on you!"

Indeed. We just hope the fruity assailant is brought to justice.

Luckily Harry is a smooth(ie) enough performer to finish the show regardless.

The fiendishly difficult Harry Styles quiz.

    Morning all and welcome back.

We hope you all enjoyed your night of mischievous making.

Today we'll take a look at some top music stars who certainly did, including the likes of the Timberlake family (above), Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, Dave Grohl and more.

While all that was going on poor Harry Styles was getting pelted with fruit.

Better luck though for Selena Gomez as she's been named woman of the year and Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize acceptance speech gets turned into a book.

All that and more, including a new arcade game style music video from Gorillaz featuring Little Simz, throughout today on Music News LIVE.
