Apparently one in ten of us is a leftie.

That rises to one in two on this Music News LIVE page and also one quarter of (arguably) the greatest band of all time.

Sir Macca has marked the occasion by posting a picture of him strumming with his left hand.

Other lefties have include the late great Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.

In fact, Jimi initially had to play right-handed guitars that were re-strung the other way around.

So give yourselves a left-handed pat on the back if you're in that club too.

Newsround have been looking into exactly why some people are left-handed in the first place and tracing the plight of the leftie down the years.

The country singing legend, 72, has received a leadership award named after her at a ceremony in Tennessee.

Leadership Tennessee’s first-ever (and in no way partisan) Dolly Parton excellence in leadership award went to the singer of the same name at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville in Saturday.

Officials said she was given the award for her “selfless work to improve lives across Tennessee.”

Dolly's Parton’s Smoky Mountains Rise telethon raised more than $12m (£9.4m) for victims of the devastating Gatlinburg fires of 2016.

  7. Nicki Minaj explains Drake diss trackpublished at 13:32 BST 13 August 2018

    Nicki MinajImage source, Getty Images

The US rapper dropped her new album, Queen, a week early on Friday.

The whole album release process was an absolute masterclass in promotion after she moved the date several times and even put out a late public plea to Tracy Chapman to clear a sample just the week before it came out.

Now it's out there, fans have pouring over the lyrics in search of meaning, with one track in particular, Barbie Dreams, drawing attention.

In it Nicki appears to go after Drake, her ex Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, 50 Cent and a few others.

Needless to say we can't bring you any of those lyrics on here due to the language involved but Nicki says it's all done in jest.

“You guys know Barbie Dreams is not a diss, right?,” she said on her Beats 1 radio show.

    Quote Message

It’s just some funny [stuff]. I love them. I said things about people who I know can take a joke and won’t be emotional about it.

“Reading the reactions to Barbie Dreams is hilarious."

She added' “Everyone is saying how disrespectful Barbie Dreams is, and that’s why I love it."

UK rapper and Newbie Tuesday artist Ms Banks declared her love for another Queen album track, Coco Chanel, online.

She called it a "banger" in a tweet and was then shocked to find that Nicki herself replied inviting the south London rapper "to put a verse on" on the track.

"That’s the one I want you to put a verse on so get to writin!!!" wrote Nicki.

"Don'ttttt playyyyy wit meeeeeee" exclaimed Ms B (or words to that effect).

So look out for a remix featuring Ms Banks soon.

Ticketmaster is closing its secondary ticketing websites Seatwave and Get Me In, in a bid to combat touts.

The sites, which allow customers to offload unwanted tickets, have frequently been exploited by so-called "professional sellers" who hike up prices.

"We know that fans are tired of seeing others snap up tickets just to resell for a profit on secondary websites, so we have taken action," said Andrew Parsons, head of Ticketmaster UK.

The sites will be shut down in October.

In their place, you will be allowed to sell tickets directly on Ticketmaster, where a simple click will release tickets back into the market.

Little Mix (above) are among the artists who have protested at the prices charged by secondary ticketing sites.

With Matt Cardle taking over from Will Young in Strictly Ballroom, external and Alexandra Burke joining Martin Kemp in Chicago, external, the influx of pop stars treading the boards in London's Theatreland shows no signs of abating.

Steve Martin played the role in the 1986 movie version and was a big reason why Willis, 35, wanted to take part - even if it meant rushing to finish Busted's new album.

"If I'm honest, this was very bad for me timing wise," he admits. "But Little Shop was my favourite film when I was growing up so I couldn't say no.

"We should have had two more months to work on the record, but I had to tell the guys we had to finish earlier than planned so I could start rehearsals."

First staged in New York in 1982, Little Shop of Horrors tells the outlandish story of a lowly florist's assistant who comes to nurture a strange carnivorous plant.

Christened Audrey II after a colleague he has a crush on, the plant grows to become a talking, singing monster with an insatiable appetite for fresh human blood.

Matt says he relished the chance to play abusive orthodontist Orin, a nasty piece of work far removed from the boyish charm that helped him win I'm A Celebrity in 2006.

"I like playing baddies; I'm drawn to them in a way," he told the BBC after Friday's slightly damp opening night performance.

"It was also appealing to make him a bit more three-dimensional. I do his big number [Be A Dentist] with a mic stand, so it's fun to break the fourth wall every night and perform to the audience."

Willis is no slouch when it comes to musical theatre, having fitted in runs in Footloose, Wicked and Flashdance between his band-related commitments.

Busted fans need not be concerned, though, as the aforementioned new record will be out as planned in the New Year.

"We did it all, the album's wicked so everything worked out," says Matt of the currently untitled follow-up to 2016's Night Driver.

Busted's Charlie Simpson and McBusted's Harry Judd were on hand on Friday to cheer him on, as was Matt's TV presenter wife Emma.

Little Shop of Horrors runs at the Open Air Theatre in Regent's Park until 22 September.

A re-working of Childish Gambino's controversial track This is America by a Nigerian artist has been deemed "unfit for radio" in his own country.

The music video by Falz, which has more than 13 million YouTube views, highlights Nigeria's opioid crisis, the missing Chibok schoolgirls and escalating pastoral conflict in the country's central states.

The lyrics have been deemed "vulgar and indecent" by censorship board NBC.

The original track by Gambino - aka Donald Glover - addressed gun crime in America and has racked up over 366 million views.

However, the BBC's Pidgin service reported last week, the NBC has not banned the track.
