Sad news to finish today as Fats Domino, one of most influential rock 'n' roll performers of the 1950s and 60s, has died aged 89.

The American rock and roll artist was best known for his songs Ain't That A Shame and Blueberry Hill (below).

The New Orleans singer sold more than 65 million records, outselling every 1950s rock and roll act except Elvis Presley and influencing the likes of The Beatles, The White Stripes and countless others.

His million-selling debut single, The Fat Man, is credited by some as the first ever rock 'n' roll record.

Tributes have started to roll in from the likes of Samuel L Jackson, LL Cool J, Kid Rock, KT Tunstall and Jack White's Third Man Records.

    Robbie Williams

Illness may have forced Robbie Williams to cancel some tour dates (scroll down) but that doesn't mean you need to be deprived of some of his music today.

We have a little treat for you as Robbie - dressed in a 'daddy pig' t-shirt - and grime artist Big Narstie urge people to "go mental". Mr Narstie lives up to his name by swearing near the end but if you're not offended by that then check it out., external

We have a feeling that some charities may take exception to the song's title but we don't believe Robbie meant it in a negative way.

Hope we didn't get you all flustered then for no reason, but it's a matter of mere minutes away now so keep it together.

Yesterday, in typically modern style the Glasgow band released a cryptic teaser online alerting us to the fact that something would be happening today.

Now we know what that something is, all we have to do is wait for Lammo's show to begin.

Ahead of the release of the new documentary, Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami, the film's director Sophie Fiennes has been chatting to BBC Arts about how the singer used her troubled youth to create a powerful new self.

According to Fiennes, Grace channeled her childhood beatings in Jamaica at the hands her step-grandfather into her music.

“It had a huge effect on her, being left in Jamaica at the mercy of Mas P,” she says.

"I think when she did figure it out she got liberated from it. She has been doing this brilliant cathartic working through in her stage persona, of putting that fear into the audience that she had felt as a child by impersonating him, unconsciously."

    Noel Gallagher

In perhaps his most pointed remarks on the subject to date, Noel has apparently slammed the door on any potential future band reunion, saying it would "be the death of me as a person".

    That's pretty clear.

Noel's experimental new album Who Built The Moon? - produced by David Holmes - is out on 24 November and while brother Liam seems to give a different opinion about the possibility of Oasis reforming in almost every interview he does, his older sibling has told Q Magazine, external he does not need the cash, adding Oasis have "no unfinished business".

He said: “I’ve been very consistent about it.

“I don’t need the money, I don’t need the glory, I don’t need to relive the memories. If I was to get Oasis back together tomorrow and then do a tour, I’d have a hundred million dollars in the bank but I’d have learnt [sod] all.

    Quote Message

I’d have actually wasted a year of being in the studio with a person like David Holmes. It would be the death of me as a person.”

He added: “I could understand if we were a band who’d been going for five years and were just at out peak, but Oasis have got no unfinished business. We did it...and then some. It’s done.”

  13. Kate Nash hits back at BuzzFeed article claiming she no longer existspublished at 11:25 BST 25 October 2017

    Kate NashImage source, Getty Images

The London singer/songwriter has not seen the funny side of a BuzzFeed listicle entitled 33 Singers That Only Exist In The Memories Of British Millennials, external.

The piece names a whole host of acts, including Rachel Stevens, David Sneddon, Mis Teeq and Five - as well as the Foundations singer - and basically implies that if you were born after the mid-90s then you simply will not have heard of any of them.

Before we go on, the term 'millennial' is loosely defined in the House of Commons Library as being used to "describe those born between the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s."

Buzzfeed place Kate at number nine on their list of names to forget, saying: “She was the cute vintage-dress-wearing girl we all wanted to be back in 2007.

"Presumably these days she’s wearing baggy jumpers and DMs but who knows??”

    Presumably DMs means Dr Martens.

Kate, followed up her debut with another top ten album and, since 2013, has released two independent albums released her Kickstarter crowd-funded latest EP Agenda in April.

She starred opposite Sheridan Smith in the 2013 movie Powder Room and is also currently starring in the Netflix comedy-drama TV series Glow.

Kate -who has spoken openly about her metal health battles - reacted with a series of (19 and counting) disappointed tweets, claiming she did not believe "this contribution from BuzzFeed... is helpful or interesting," adding, "it could hurt unstable people".

  17. Robbie Williams reveals he was recently in intensive carepublished at 09:39 BST 25 October 2017

    Robbie Williams

The 43-year-old singer has told fans that he cancelled three recent gigs in Russia over some "very worrying" medical test results.

In a video uploaded to his own personal YouTube account, the former Take That star said he's been "recovering from an illness now for the last five weeks" and that the illness forced him to spend some time in intensive care.

“Unfortunately, that illness kicked in just at the end of my tour, a tour which was going so well,", he said.

“Then I got some test results. They were very worrying and I ended up in ICU, so I couldn’t go.”

    He added:

I haven’t pulled out of a tour for bad health since 1998 so you know if I can’t do it then there’s something going on that I just can’t do it.

Without ruining the end, the good news is that the Heavy Entertainment man feels he is going to be "better than ever."

He also says that he's a vegan and does pilates and yoga but still enjoys "a really big burger on a Sunday."

Not sure what other vegans will make of that Robbie but glad to hear you're getting back to health.

Ay up me ducks - as they say in Robbie's native Stoke - and welcome back to another edition of Music News LIVE.

Today, we'll have an update on the health of the Robster (above) himself after some “very worrying” test results forced him to cancel a series of gigs.

We'll tell you how much rapper Eminem has won off the conservative party of New Zealand after they "ripped off" Lose Yourself and find out why Marilyn Manson has been forced to parts ways with long-standing bass player.

Also there's awards for Lethal Bizzle, Stormzy and Charlie Sloth and a cautionary tale about trespassing on Justin Bieber's lawn.

So don't do it! (As Grandmaster Flash once said).
