It's the musical collaboration that everyone is talking about.

21 years after The Simpsons jokingly matched up Cypress Hill and the LSO in the Homepalooza episode, the LA rappers expressed a genuine interest in working with the classical orchestra.

Now, in a statement, the London Symphony Orchestra said: "The LSO has nothing currently planned with Cypress Hill, but the orchestra is always delighted discuss to new artistic collaborations.

"Including ones inspired by The Simpsons."

Last we heard from her, she was chained to the rhythm, now she's in the kitchen sampling the delights of her new collab with America's hottest new rappers Migos.

KP confirmed the release of new track, Bon Appetit, on social media with a not-so-cryptic message caption saying: “Compliments of the chef: 4.28.17”.

We're not sure the picture is to scale, either the Migos have massive hands or Katy has a teeny, tiny head.

The track is either out tomorrow for New Music Friday... or this dish needs to be cooked on gas mark 4 for nearly half an hour.

  18. RIP Jonathan Demmepublished at 09:27 BST 27 April 2017

Jonathan Demme (right) with Neil YoungImage source, Getty Images

After we left you yesterday, sad news broke of the death of film and documentary director Jonathan Demme at the age of 73.

Jonathan was best known as the director of Oscar-winning horror movie The Silence of the Lambs but also made cult classic music films such as Talking Heads' live concert film Stop Making Sense from 1984.

He also directed music videos for Bruce Springsteen's Streets of Philadelphia (as well as the movie, starring Denzel Washington and Tom Hanks), UB40's I Got You Babe and appeared with Neil Young (pictured together above) at the premiere of their documentary Heart of Gold at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006.

Here's 5 must see films from Jonathan.

    Stop Making Sense

Demme's aforementioned Talking Heads film, made over three live shows in 1983, was the perfect marriage of music (Psycho Killer, Once in a Lifetime etc), cinema and humour - with singer David Byrne's suit getting progressively larger and more absurd as the film goes on.

David has led the tributes with a message on his website, external.

He said: "Jonathan was also a huge music fan - that’s obvious in his films too - many of which are jam-packed with songs by the often obscure artists he loved.

"He’d find ways to slip a reggae artist’s song or a Haitian recording into a narrative film in ways that were often joyous and unexpected.

"Stop Making Sense was character driven too."

    He added:

    Quote Message

Jonathan’s skill was to see the show almost as a theatrical ensemble piece, in which the characters and their quirks would be introduced to the audience, and you’d get to know the band as people, each with their distinct personalities."

He ended his eulogy with: "Jonathan, we’ll miss you."

Bruce Springsteen has added his own tribute, external to the American director, saying: "Over here on E Street, we're deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Jonathan Demme.

    Quote Message

He was an inspiration for me, a beautiful filmmaker and a great spirit.

"Always smiling, always involved with the world and always pushing you to go for your best. He'll be deeply missed."

You can see a preview of the Talking Heads movie below, as well as a memorable New Order video that Jonathan also directed, alongside a raft of other tributes.
