So as well as being officially the longest day of the year it's also Selfie Day, today.

With that in mind we thought we'd use our #TBT to honour Selfie Kid, Ryan McKenna,- who shot to fame in January with a well-placed pic of Justin Timberlake during his Super Bowl half-time show.

Watch above as he talks Ellen DeGeneres through the "awesome" occasion and gets a surprise call from a certain someone.

Then check out a few more music stars posing for selfies below, including Stormzy and Sam Smith.

We're not sure Camila's strictly qualifies, though admittedly we can't see where her left hand is.

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of US rapper XXXTentacion, US media say.

The suspect, named as Dedrick D Williams, 22 (above), is facing a charge of first-degree murder.

The 20-year-old rapper, real name Jahseh Onfroy, was shot as he left a motorcycle dealership in south Florida on Monday and died later in hospital.

Often described as one of rap's most controversial artists, he quickly rose to fame with two hit albums.

He was facing domestic violence charges.

It is not clear whether police are still looking for another suspect.

Mr Williams, who was arrested on Wednesday, has also been charged with a probation violation for theft of a motor vehicle and driving without a valid licence, the New York Daily News reports.

The Britpop guitar hero has been speaking to Consequence of Sound about the 20th anniversary of his solo debut album, his current conceptual music project, further unreleased solo work and the possibility of Blur recording again one day.

Coxon's last solo album came six years ago in the form of 2012's A & E, but his old band did return in 2015 with their eighth album, The Magic Whip and he's since produced the score for the new Channel 4 and Netflix dark comedy The End of the ... World.

Speaking on the Kyle Meredith With podcast (which you can find on CoS YouTube page), Coxon (pictured top left, with Blur) suggested that there was no Blur material on the horizon at the moment but that he wouldn't rule it out.

"I really don’t see why not and why there can’t be another Blur album,” he said.

Morning all, welcome to the Summer Solstice aka the longest day of the year.

We'll attempt to make it fly by between now and 16:00, with news of:

    • Sir Paul McCartney's new album, Egypt Station
    • Ariana Grande's fiance confirming her engagement
    • Janet Jackson talks about her depression and quest for happiness
    • Johnny Marr on his other-worldly new album escaping from his own past
    • Years & Years on the double-standards of being "too erotic"
    • And much, much more

While we get up and running, listen to the sound of Stonehenge this morning as many make the annual pilgrimage to worship the sun while he's got his best hat on.
