That's it, we're getting our sunnies and lotion on and heading out into the blazing April sunshine (how often do we get to say that?).

We hope the sun is shining where you are.

Scroll down for a first listen to Prince's original take on a worldwide smash, Liam P talking about the chances of a One D reunion, Ariana Grande's new music video paying a low-key tribute to the people of Manchester, the Pixies announcing some anniversary gigs and Adele waxing lyrical about Rihanna.

Plus new music too from Kylie, The Coral and 5 Things We Learned This Week.

Have fun if you manage to find what you are looking for on Record Store Day this weekend, we'll leave with that tune mentioned in BBC Music's tweet above.

Fitting really, given this weather we've been having...

6 Music also spoke to The Family vocalist St Paul Peterson, to whom Prince gave the song, before it was recorded again by Sinead O'Connor.

And here's the lyric video to prove it.

It's called 2002 and it's slap bang in the middle of Ed's trademarked brand of rose-tinted nostalgia.

    1) Cardi B may be pregnant but she can still twerk with the best of them

Cardi B went straight in at number one in the US charts with her debut album Invasion of Privacy.

The rapper also demonstrated at Coachella last weekend (where she claimed she was getting a cool $70,000 per performance) that being pregnant is no barrier to twerking.

We're not medically trained so can't advice on this one but one wag on Twitter thinks he knows what was going on inside the womb during Cardi's performance.

    3) The Queen might not like Craig David

That's according to celebrity friend of the Royals Gyles Brandreth, ahead of Her Majesty's 92nd birthday bash on Saturday.

Speaking about the lineup for the event, the former Tory MP told the Radio Times: “We know the Queen loves the Commonwealth and Shaggy’s Jamaican, Kylie’s Australian, Shawn’s Canadian, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo hail from South Africa, so that’s something.

    Quote Message

But British rapper Craig David’s repertoire includes R&B, garage and hip hop, which are not known for being the Queen’s favourite musical genres. (Perhaps he will give them some hip hop to celebrate Prince Philip’s hip op?)

    Hip op - get it?

We think Gyles might be pulling our legs and we bet even the Queen loves to chill on a Sunday.

    4) The Spice Women reunion won't include a tour or new music

Just when we were all daydreaming about a new album, world tour and royal wedding performance - following their meet-up at Geri's gaff in February - Victoria Beckham has gone and pulled the rug out from under us.

Posh told Grazia magazine that the main reason the 90s five piece are getting back together is to continue the message of 'girl power' for the youth of today.

She said: “There is no tour, no more music from the Spice Girls, but it was great getting together with them.

"We were just saying girl power is such an important message and how do we communicate that?

"How do we pass the baton on, how does that look to future generations?"

Apparently not in any way musical.

    5) Kanye West wrote a 'philosophy book' in tweets

We already knew it deep down but on Wednesday the Chicago hip hop star officially added the title of philosopher to his burgeoning CV.

After a lengthy absence from social media, Yeezy returned to Twitter and dropped an incredible impromptu series of Nietzsche-esque aphorisms.

Ever the trailblazer, he later confirmed that we were in fact witnessing the live publication of his philosophy book in real time.

The band's 20th anniversary re-release of their seminal 1997 album OK Computer, featuring tracks like the previously unreleased Lift (above) topped a chart of the top-selling albums since last year's Record Store Day.

More than 80% of the album's sales in independent record shops over the last year were on vinyl.

Another enhanced release in the shape of the special 50th anniversary edition of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, took second spot with Ed Sheeran's Divide in third.

Sadly just three women - Courtney Barnett, Jane Weaver and Ellie Rowsell of Wolf Alice and two black artists - Kendrick Lamar and Gregory Porter make the top 40.

We all had a bit of a laugh a couple of weeks back when it as announced that the Grease star was acting in a new film, Moose, being directed by the Limp Bizkit frontman.

Well it seems that the unusual pairing hath borne fruit as Travolta has called working on the film - in which he plays a crazed stalker - "maybe my favourite experience I've had".

There's a pretty graphic image of the pair on set, external - so apologies to anyone with a sensitive disposition and remember that bloody eye that John is sporting is just make up.

The film star told TMZ: "He's so generous and he's such an artist and he allowed me to create a character that nobody else would allow, it felt very free."

Sounds like Fred just set the cameras up and told them to keep rollin', rollin, rollin'.

She added: "...the first time it felt like she made everyone sit up was with Umbrella.

"It crossed her over to every platform and into everyone’s lives. It felt like she had truly arrived, and she hasn’t slowed down since.

Ariana Grande has returned with her first new music since the terrorist bombing that killed 22 people outside her Manchester Arena show in May 2017.

No Tears Left To Cry (above) alludes to the attack, while channelling the resilience and optimism of her One Love benefit concert, held just two weeks after the atrocity.

"Ain't got no tears left to cry," she sings in the single's soaring chorus.

"So I'm loving, I'm living, I'm picking it up."

Produced by Max Martin, the song transforms from its sombre, gospel-inspired introduction into a summery pop banger - pairing Grande's emotional vocals with a light-footed dance beat.

Lyrically, Grande resolves to overcome fear and hatred "even when it's raining down".

"We're way too fly to partake in all this hate," she sings. "We out here vibin'."

At the end of the music video, a worker bee - the symbol of Manchester - flies towards the camera, in homage to the city.

    Morning everyone.

Don't know about you but we've got that Friday feeling this morning.

All that stands between us and some fun in the sun (hopefully) is a glut of new music, including Ariana Grande's first new track since the Manchester attack, Courtney Barnett and Kylie Minogue.

Plus Janelle Monae on how she misses calling up her old pal Prince, Kanye has two albums coming and John Travolta praises working with his new director Fred Durst

Later on we'll look back at the 5 Things We Learned This Week, from twerking mammas to hip hip philosopher kings and everything in between.

While we get up and running check out Liam Payne and Radio 1 brekky show host Grimmy speculating over what a future One Direction gig might look like and we'll be right back with you.

Just don't hold your breath just yet.
