    Louis Kevin Celestin, better known as Kaytranada, has shared three new instrumental tracks.

    The Canadian producer remixed, external Strobelite from the Gorillaz album Humanz and released an EP in May with rapper Buddy under the name Ocean & Montana.

    His Juno- and Polaris-winning debut album, 99.9%, came out last year.

    Ella Eyre is joined by rapper Ty Dolla $ign in her sparkly new video for the song Ego, which sees her take on an unnamed paramour.

    The 23-year-old sings: "I see you looking in the mirror / I see you thinking that you're killer / How could you love someone else like you love yourself right now?"

  4. Fyre Festival firm forced into bankruptcypublished at 15:04 BST 4 September 2017

    The US company behind the failed luxury tropical music event, the Fyre Festival, has been forced into bankruptcy by a US judge.

    The line-up for the festival in May was due to include Major Lazer and Blink-182 but it quickly descended into chaos when ticket holders arrived at the resort in the Bahamas where it was due to take place.

    Pictures on social media showed makeshift campsites (above) and meagre food rations.

    Now, the company behind it has been placed into bankruptcy after several investors claimed that they were owed a repayment of $530,000.

    The investors say that they were promised the money by festival founder Billy McFarland in May, but were forced to take legal action when it never emerged.

    He has since been charged with fraud.

    Stereophonics have shared a new video for their track Caught By The Wind, which has been taken from their forthcoming new album Scream Above The Sounds, due out on 27 October.

    Singer Kelly Jones said of the band's tenth album: "Every song offers a sense of release.

    "Even when there’s nostalgia, fear or anxiety, they’re still all offering hope and room to manoeuvre."

    The Welsh rockers are playing Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park on Sunday, on a line-up which includes Shania Twain, Take That, Blondie and Emeli Sande.

    Over the weekend, the Grammy-award winning rapper announced his SocialWorks charity has raised $2.2 million for arts education in the city.

    "Funding for public schools is the single most important investment a community can make,” he said.

    "As a parent and proud product of CPS (Chicago Public Schools System), I’m committed to helping Chicago’s children have quality learning experiences that include the arts."

    Selected schools in the city will be awarded $100,000 over the next three years.

    Clean Bandit have announced a tour that kicks off in Glasgow on 29 October.

    General tickets are available on Friday for a tour that includes dates in Cambridge, Bournemouth, Birmingham and Newcastle and takes in a show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on 2 November before wrapping in Manchester five days later.

    Their single Rockabye, featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie, spent nine weeks at the top of the UK charts.

    Shows are set for Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and London next March.

    The band released their seventh studio album Little Fictions in February and played a 'secret set' at Glastonbury earlier this summer.

    Sir Tom Jones made his BBC Proms debut on Friday, shortly before postponing his forthcoming US tour on medical advice.

    The 77-year-old was due to start the tour with a concert in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday.

    In a statement on his website, external, Sir Tom sent his "sincere apologies" to fans for cancelling the dates, which will be re-arranged for 2018.

    Luckily the singer's UK fans were treated to Toms golden tonsils last week as he took part in the Stax Records: 50 Years of Soul Prom.

    Rapper Lil Wayne has been reportedly taken to hospital after suffering a seizure and being found unconscious in his hotel room in Chicago.

    According to TMZ, external, the 34-year-old rapper, who has epilepsy, had had a number of fits and suffered another one after arriving at A&E.

    He had been due to perform in Las Vegas on Sunday.

    The rap star - real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr - was treated a year ago after suffering two minor seizures.

    He has said in the past the seizures are caused by stress.

  12. Morrissey to perform 6 Music Live at Maida Valepublished at 11:33 BST 4 September 2017

    Morrissey - who recently announced his first album in three years - has become the latest addition to this year's 6 Music Live.

    The former Smiths frontman will join a line-up that includes Mogwai, Robert Plant and Mercury Prize nominees Alt-J and Loyle Carner.

    The performances, at Maida Vale in north London, will take place live from 2 to 6 October on Lauren Laverne's show.

    "We are honoured to be part of this incredible series of performances," said Alt-J. "6 Music has always been our spiritual home, and getting to spend a day at Maida Vale is something we would never turn down."

    Paul Rodgers, head of 6 Music, added: "The quality of this year’s Live at Maida Vale line-up speaks for itself."

    There are a limited number of tickets available for listeners to attend the gigs. Registration opened at bbc.co.uk/6music today and will close at 1800 BST on Monday 11 September.

    An Australian TV network is airing a new documentary about the final days of INXS singer Michael Hutchence and features clips from unreleased songs and the final lyrics the star wrote before he killed himself at the age of 37.

    Michael Hutchence – The Last Rockstar is set for broadcast ahead of the 20th anniversary of the death of Australian music legend on 22 November.

    "This is not Michael Hutchence defined by how he died but by how he lived: a brilliant musician, a brilliant man, a loving father, a true rockstar," said executive producer Mark Llewellyn.

    "Michael left more questions than answers when he left us, and this documentary will provide those answers and much, much more."

    Life as a rock star, eh?

    As most of us dragged ourselves into to work this morning, Chris Martin was tinkling the ivories for Radio 1's Live Lounge month from sunny California.

    Alongside Coldplay classic like Yellow, he even had a very quick crack at an AC/DC song , at the behest of Dave Grohl, external.

  16. Musicians pay tribute to Steely Dan's Walter Beckerpublished at 09:31 BST 4 September 2017

    Sad news from the weekend of the death of Walter Becker, co-founder and guitarist for the US band Steely Dan.

    No cause of death or other details were given.

    The jazz-rock group has sold more than 40m albums and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

    Their songs include Reelin In the Years, external and they were famously sampled by Da La Soul in their track Eye Know, external.

    "Walter's recovering from a procedure and hopefully he'll be fine very soon," singer Donald Fagen told, external Billboard magazine earlier this month when the guitarist missed a series of gigs to recover from an unspecified condition.

    In a statement, he said his bandmate was "smart as a whip, an excellent guitarist and a great songwriter.

    "He was cynical about human nature, including his own, and hysterically funny," he said.

    Musicians have lined up to share their thoughts, with singer Beck paying tribute to Walter at a gig in Detroit

    "We lost somebody today. Walter Becker from Steely Dan passed away," he said calling him a "rock 'n' roll hero"
