So we're off home... whether you like it or not.

Only joking, I Don't Care is the name of one of the tracks on Goat Girl's new album, so our parting gift today is the London girls performing an acoustic version of the track while sat on a rock somewhere in Austin at SXSW, courtesy of BBC Music Introducing.

While you let that wash over you, scroll down our American-themed MNL page today to see Cardi B's unborn baby twerk (is there a doctor in the house who could advise on this?) and news from Coachella, or should that be Bey-chella.

Eminem might have something to say about that.

Plus news from the Rock & Roll Hall of fame featuring Lauryn Hill, Nina Simone and Bon Jovi but not, repeat, not Mark Knopfler.

See y'all tomorrow, 09:00 British Summer Time.

The 45-year-old rapper set up a pop-up Mom's Spaghetti pasta-stall at the event, inspired by the lyrics to his hit Lose Yourself.

The soul star performed a medley of the late singer's songs at the event this weekend, including the iconic Feeling Good.

Nina was inducted by Oscar-nominee and Grammy awards winner Mary J Blige who called her “bold, strong, feisty and fearless".

She added: “Her voice was so distinctive and warm and powerful; I never heard anything like it.

Nina sang for all her pain, her joy, her confusion, her happiness, her sickness, her fight. She fought through all the stereotypes. She fought for her identity. She fought for her life.

Bon Jovi were also inducted on the evening and Jon Bon Jovi, who has made no secret of the fact that he wanted to be inducted (his reaction to the announcement was along the lines of.. "it's about time"), said:

“I’ve been writing this speech since I first strummed the broom and sang at the top of the stairs of my childhood home.

“I’ve actually written it many ways, many times. Some days I write the 'thank you' speech, other days, I write the '**** you' speech.”

Fortunately he pumped for the former version.

The awards began with unannounced performers the Killers honouring the late Tom Petty with a cover of his classic American Girl.

Singer Brandon Flowers also inducted new wave band The Cars into the Hall Of Fame.

He told Rolling Stone, external; "I feel like it was yesterday that my mom was complaining about the sound that was coming out of the speakers when I had The Cars in.

"They were the first band I fell in love with, and they set me on the right track.”

One slightly sour note, on the evening when British rockers Dire Straits were inducted, was that singer and guitarist Mark Knopfler was absent and his refusal to attend - or even address the honour - meant there was no performance or even a presenting speech.

Bassist John Illsley said: "It's just a personal thing. He’s got his reasons. Let’s just leave it at that.”

The 36-year-old star of the weekend brought band mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams on stage during her headline set at the California festival on Saturday night.

It's the first time the trio have appeared together since the Stellar Gospel Music Awards in 2015 and they knocked out versions of their hits Lose My Breath, Say My Name and Soldier.

Beyonce's show took on a military theme, beginning with a rendition of her 2003 hit Crazy In Love played by a marching band.

The nearly two-hour set included quotes from civil rights activist Malcolm X and feminist author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, as well as samples of Nina Simone.

The performance also featured Lift Every Voice and Sing; a song often referred to as the "Black American National Anthem".

Not to be outdone by his wife's old pals, hubby Jay-Z also joined Bey on stage for a performance of their 2012 song Deja Vu, while Solange later came on stage to dance with her elder sister.

    What a family affair.

Bey was due to headline last year but had to pull-out after falling pregnant with twins and was replaced by Lady Gaga,

Adele wasn't there but she certainly enjoyed the live stream of the gig.

Here's three examples of how much the London singer loved her US counterpart headline set (although she's not shy to blow her own trumpet either)

Chance the Rapper may not have a trumpet to blow or such head banging dance moves as Adele but he did have these fine words for the Houston-born singer.
