That's all we have time for today, we hope we don't get yelled at by a major musician on our way out (scroll down to make sense of that).

Also check out new music for The Vaccines, Bruno Mars and Cardi B and Liam Payne and Rita Ora, plus tributes to one of the men behind The Beatles.

You'll hear from Graham Coxon and Olly Murs too and we've got a preview of Ed Sheeran's forthcoming performance on The Simpsons.

Surely Flight of the Conchords (above) are the ones to top.

"The city's pretty gritty for an itty bitty pretty girl."

    Ay, caramba!

While the band may not be getting back together anytime soon, last year ended on a positive note for Oasis fans as the warring Gallagher brothers finally called a Christmas truce.

Fans were left in no man's land in 2017, forced to choose a favourite between Noel's new cosmic pop album and Liam's debut solo record.

One thing we can all agree on surely is that the story of the Manchester band going from being on the dole to playing one of the UK's biggest gigs of all time at Knebworth in just three years or so must have been quite a trip.

If you missed it over Crimbo you can join them on that trip now over on the BBC iPlayer.

We know you're all dying to know.

Actor, writer, presenter and all-round British institution Stephen Fry began the year by introducing his own specially-curated classical music mixtape for Radio 4's In Tune.

In it, he includes some of the music that means the most to him, including Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor and Bach's Chromatic Fantasy in D minor.

What - no lovely, lovely Ludwig van?

"I hope you enjoy it, I've loved putting it together," said the 60-year-old.

"All the very best, from Stephen Fry..."

If you have half an hour to spare (and are not operating heavy machinery) check it out over at the In Tune website.

They were one and two for 2017's album of the year so it should be of no surprise to anyone that Ken and Sizz have collaborated on a brilliant new track for the forthcoming Marvel movie Black Panther.

There are some swearwords on All The Stars so we cant embed it but you find it over at his YouTube channel.

Instead, here's a gratuitous look at the movie instead and its techno remix of Gil Scott Heron's The Revolution Will Not Be Televised, external.

  5. How Taylor Swift almost had 2017's biggest albumpublished at 14:31 GMT 4 January 2018

    Mark Savage
    Music reporter, BBC News

    Taylor SwiftImage source, PA

When is the year's best-selling album not the year's best-selling album? When it's by Taylor Swift.

The star outsold every other artist in the US last year - shifting 1.9 million copies of her fifth record, Reputation, in just seven weeks.

But her decision to withhold it from streaming services until December damaged its chances in the chart of 2017's most popular albums.

That's because 1,500 streams now count as the equivalent of one album sale.

Swift accumulated 280,000 "streaming equivalent albums" in the four weeks Reputation was available on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and other services. But that wasn't enough to put her ahead of Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran.

The New Year is all about about looking forward but that's no reason why we can't still treat ourselves to a bit of nostalgia on a Throwback Thursday afternoon.

After their new Hottest Record, I Can't Quit, landed last night (scroll down), today's first #TBT of the year takes us back a whole seven years to 2011 when The Vaccines arrived into our world with a big bang.

They performed Wreckin' Bar, the riotous (and gloriously short) opening track from their debut album live for Jools Holland.

We can't bring you any actual music yet from the Birmingham band but we do have this moody looking image of singer Tom Smith dressed in black and lost in thought.

Eminem gives Trump supporting fans the finger

Ahead of his comeback album Revival, Eminem broke radio silence with a four-minute freestyle diatribe against the US President ahead of the BET awards in October.

But he also took aim at his own fans who may voted for or at least supported Donald Trump.

"Any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his / I’m drawing in the sand a line / you’re either for or against / and if you can’t decide who you like more and you’re split on who you should stand beside / I’ll do it for it for you with this / **** you"

    Hopefully that clears things up.

The Hawaiian pop star and New York rapper are "dripping in Finesse", as well as fluorescent baggy 1990s clobber in their fun loving new video.

Could the track be their secret their tribute to a city in the Scottish Highlands?
