British IntelligenceMike Bromfield This week on the show we speak to Darren from Chasing Ora ahead of their first gig since the tragic death of Joanna, one of their lead singers, and British Intelligence promise a session that will top any band that have come in before... ![]() British Intelligence A session with a difference this week, a rock/rap fusion that will really blow your mind… British IntelligenceA few months ago into our inbox came a track called 'Telepathy'. A mind-blowing song with a sound that no other Essex band, to my knowledge, has tried to create. This was followed by discovering that they were up for best band at the Panic Awards 2009. As Ollie and I were presenting the best newcomer award, we attended and saw them live. We booked them for a session after the awards evening and although they might not have snatched the top award, bigger things lie in waiting for them. ![]() British Intelligence - a mix of sounds Originally confined to a studio act, it became apparent very quickly the sound would have to be replicated live and so the band was born. Chasing OraYou may remember the news that Joanna of Chasing Ora died in a car accident earlier in the year. Her sister Natalie has taken the decision to continue with the band and now they return next week at Chinnery's in Southend to raise funds for the Essex RSPCA. Darren from the band joins us to talk about how life has been for the band, moving forward and making plans for the future.
