Hi there, Im Ricky Marshall I only recently found a passion for radio after a few years of being part of amateur dramatics at the York Railway Institute, I decided to give hospital radio a go. After learning how to work the numerous buttons and going on the wards a few times I began to discover how rewarding and fun it is! During the last two years I think Ive honed my own presenting style and I really enjoy what I do. I also worked for a few months on Jules and Julias show here on BBC Radio York, which was really good experience. They both taught me a lot about broadcasting and with advice from them and other members of the station I put together a few demos, which kind of explains why Im here. My music taste is rather
eclectic. I like music right from The Beatles to the Killers and Lionel Richie, who is somewhere in the middle I think. Basically I like a lot of music and how old or new a track is doesnt matter as long as the music evokes a feeling in you. Thats really important to me. I also like to try and listen to new music as well, and find out more about it now matter what style or genre. So thats me, I like to make people laugh and have a real passion for radio so I hope you enjoy what I bring to the station. Ricky |
