After making her debut on Radio York in the Autumn of 1999, Alex has become a firm favorite. She's hosted most of the station's weekday and weekend shows and as well as being popular with listeners, her home baked cakes have helped her find a place in the hearts of everyone in the office. But she didn't begin her showbiz career in Radio, oh no... She's walked down the cobbled streets of Coro...pranced around in panto (oh yes she has!), embarassed her kids by her snogging scenes clad in (not much) leopardskin nylon in a tv drama, appealed to her mothers social aspirations by appearing in a Radio 4 play and delighted her dad by turning up on his BBC local radio station. Two of her favourite hobbies are writing and after dinner speaking - but not usually at the same time. She lives in Leeds with her daughter Holly... named after a gentle creature in The Forsyte Saga.. but whose keeping skills in hockey are now legendary. Her son Nick is tall dark and handsome and played Rugby at County Level. Now retired from the game he is concentrating on the more serious side of life.. his partying prowess is the talk of Teesside. Alex loves working for the BBC in North Yorkshire and is delighted to be presenting her own programme "The Alex Hall Late Show". |
