Career History/Big Break...
Kevin has been working professionally in radio since 1982, early days were spent at BBC Radio Derby working with Terry Christian on the award winning programme 'Barbed Wireless', in fact his first 'big break' came when Terry was away on holiday and Kevin was asked to 'sit-in' and look after the show.
This led to more 'on-air' work, and his first full time post in April 1985 at BBC Radio Cumbria. Four years on and Kevin returned home to Stoke-on-Trent, and to the commercial sector, presenting the midmorning show for Signal Radio.
A further eight years down the line and Kevin took up on the invitation of Ken Warburton, one of his former bosses at BBC Radio Derby to be part of the launch team (again slotting into the midmorning role) at Century 106, the all new East Midlands Regional Station.
Two years later, Kevin moved back to the BBC, initially here at Radio Stoke, before returning to his old stomping ground of BBC Radio Cumbria for a further 18 month spell, lured away only from the beauty of the Lake District by 'bosses' at BBC Radio Stoke and an invitation that proved just too tempting... the chance to present the stations midmorning show!
Since then he's presented shows right across the day too.
