| Place of birth: Durham. | | Favourite place or view in the North East: Bamburgh. | | First record you bought: "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" by Middle Of The Road. | | Previous jobs: Everything and everywhere! I've worked in Malta, Sicily, Tenerife, Benidorm....oh, and BBC Radio Cleveland! | | Why you like working in radio: It's very interesting. There is so much to learn and I enjoy broadcasting - it's another form of entertainment. I love the input from my listeners and I value their comments. | | Most interesting person you have interviewed for radio: Anne Frank's sister. I was very moved by her story. Recently, the Sugababes - my children were very impressed with that one - they took a photo to school and told everyone, "that's my mam, you know!". | | Best thing about you show: The listeners. I love to talk to them. Mind you, I talk everywhere I go and I'll chat to anyone who will listen! I'm also very proud to work for my local BBC Radio station. | | Person you would most enjoy being stuck in a lift with: That's easy...Tom Cruise or Rod Stewart...oooh I can feel my knees going weak just thinking about it! | | Favourite party game: Twister - especially after a glass of red! I just can't stop laughing... | | Where you are when you get most of your inspiration or creative thoughts: In my car. | | Funny sayings you like to use: I like local expressions, hinney... | | Proudest achievement: To be nominated for, and win, the North East Comedy Award - the first woman to do so! | | Where you go for quiet moments: My bedroom...alone! | | Memories of teachers at school: I was always doing school productions. I really fancied Mr. Junniper and Mr. Tilley so excelled in religious studies and art! I loved music and thought Miss Buddle was great...English was enjoyable, although I was terrified of Mrs. Whittiker and her unusual way of talking (pupils would give me 10p to immitate her!). | | Any habits, annoying or otherwise: I have a passion for shoes and I am trying to confront this problem. Also, I can switch the topic of conversation even before the person I'm in conversation with has finished...again, this is something I need to correct! | | | E-mail Sue |
