Andy Burrows is lucky to be here at all... after being swapped at birth! In those days, a mother who had just given birth would get a few fleeting seconds with her child, before being taken to a ward to be "presented" with her baby some minutes later. Unfortunately for Mrs Burrows she was handed... a baby girl. And it took some arguing between Old Mar Burrows and the nursing staff before she managed to convince them there had been a mix-up. It later turned out there was another Mrs Burrows in the next ward, who had given birth at the same time - and the girl belonged to her. Quite where Andy was during all this time is anyone's guess. However, several of his previous employers have since complained he has a knack of going missing at the vital moment! Birmingham-born Andy, err, "underachieved" at school, where his favourite subject was looking out of the window. But he did at least dream of being a rock star and indeed is the proud owner of a B-TEC in Pop Music. Fortunately, for all those who like good music, the dream never quite became a reality and so Andy began a media career. One of his first jobs was rubbing the legs of a TV fitness expert so she wouldn't look cold while standing on a beach in the middle of February while trying to pretend it was the height of summer. The lack of a "proper job" continued over the next 10 years as Andy worked as a journalist for daily, Sunday and weekly newspapers. After three years as the news editor for the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, he's presenter of the Peterborough and The Fens Breakfast Show. As an Aston Villa season ticket holder, he blames the Lions for making him look at least 10 years older than he actually is. That's his excuse anyway...
