Presenter Profiles - Angela Rafferty

I'm a local lass, Nottingham born and bred - biggest love football - well after my family and food.

Anyway, and in the interests of professionalism I can't say who I support, but if I tell you my favourite TV moment was interviewing Psycho - no, not the man in the shower - I mean Stuart Pearce, then you won't need to be a genius to work it out.

To say this is the job of my dreams sounds corny - but it's true.

Ready for the next programme

Every day is spent speaking to sports stars most of my mates would pay to meet - no it's not always glamorous, training grounds in midwinter can be miserable places to hang around, but hey that's the only downside.

I took the old-fashioned route to get here - journalism college, a stint in local newspapers, then into broadcasting.

I was a news reporter at the start, before I made it onto the sports desk here at East Midlands Today 18 months ago.

Outside work, as well as watching sport I'm trying (and some might say failing) to get fit.

I also love to travel, drink beer and dance.
