Alison Kerr is 32 years old and lives in Glasgow. A civil servant for the Scottish Executive, Alison is an English graduate from the University of St Andrews and writes regularly, but is renowned amongst her friends for starting stories and never finishing them!

Lesley CunninghamLesley Cunningham
Lesley Cunningham is 41 years old and is from Liverpool. Lesley went back to school to do her 'A' Levels, including English, as an adult. This is the first writing competition that she has entered and she wrote her ending in two days!

Stephanie Percival is a part-time podiatrist and a mother of three from Rushden. A keen reader, this is the first writing competition she has entered. Although married to an English teacher, Stephanie didn't let her husband see the story before she entered it!

Dan Saunders is 28 and lives in London. Dan works for National Geographic as a marketing manager and is due to be married in November. Dan tries to be quite strict with himself about his writing and writes something every day. He is currently working on his first novel.
