A former Medieval History student, multi-instrumentalist and artist Lettie draws on everything from postcards to obituaries. Her music combines vintage analog electronica and alternative-acoustic folk.
On record, she uses modular synthesizers but to play live she performs on Casio and an electric guitar with an echo pedal to create loops. Lettie has been supported by BBC Suffolk and is championed at Electric Proms 2009 by Radio 2's Dermot O'Leary.
Lettie has released two albums on Outerworld Records: Age of Solo and its acoustic, mainly live counterpart, Everyman. She is presently recording her third album with Mike Mason (formerly of Swallow, 4AD) and hopes to return to USA to record next year.
So far, Lettie has been played by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music, BBC Suffolk, BBC Hull, BBC Oxford and Resonance FM, and has performed extensively around London.
