King Creosote's thoughts on the film...
"The lyric to "Twin Tub Twin" is one of the least romantic love stories I am proud to have written. I couldn't have imagined anything other than a cynical video for this track, and I would certainly not have used two of the things I dread most in life - marriage and old age - to help illustrate my point. Having watched "50 years and a few puss kittens wiser" a number of times I now can't imagine a better visual backdrop to the song. The way the big events in the couples lives tie in with the narrative of the lyric is perfect. The Mills and the Scotts made me laugh out loud, the Cobbledicks and the Prices choked me right up. It is possibly the most mundanely romantic wee film I ever saw, and I'm most chuffed to be a part of it. If we can't get a fat lady in the bed, may we all at least meet the one who'd give up a lung."
