Absolutely fantastic! I had only heard a small amount about Mark but this hits the spot perfectly. I always used to wonder what Orbitals early stuff would have sounded like, played by an orchestra like this with guitars and synths. This performance is a perfect way of mixing up everything thats good and classy about music in a global fashion. Mark Ronson is a genius with an imaginative ear for the possible!

Mark Ronson is God in disguise. The show was absolutely fantastic with great guests and the most amazing musical background(bbc orchestra). When are you going to release this on DVD to buy. Major highlights were Alex Grenwald because he is so cool and a dream to look at, Marvellous Merriweather, The Charlatans, Candi singing Sunny (when is that going to be released?) and Charlie Waller singing his version of back to black, ACE. Who needs Amy and Lily, their loss. Well done Mr Ronson you've proved yet again that your the best producer/mixer in the world. Love Ya!!!!!! Dilly.

King Ronson, please get sail on sailor, on CD with Sean Lennon, keep looking into the archives for the next great record.Fantastic Gig
Gigi
An amazing gig. Didn't think I liked Mark Ronson much before this gig. The best bits were Charlie, from the Rumble Strips, and Adele. Its about time both acts were recognised.

Have to respond to MissJohnson's critique. WHO ARE YOU? Like many areas in life, it's not what you know, it's WHO you know but Mark Ronson not only knows a good sound; he clearly has vision, knows and makes the right connections - personally, musically and commercially. Friday's utterly brilliant production blew me away. Mark Ronson's energy could not be canned; many of his guests to me were till now, hidden treasures. It was atmospheric, intimate, musically ecclectic, it was, I have decided, the best concert/party I've N/EVER been to in my fairly averagely long and musically enlightened life. Thank you Mark Ronson - genius. And I am qualified to say this because I am Alaine R. Perhaps Miss Johnson prefers and should stick to the sour tones of her own dull stylo.
Scottish Tim
Now that was good, really good ! Hats off to these fine musicians !

Brilliant, perhaps, in future the electric proms can follow the Proms proper and take place in the Royal Albert Hall!!!

Just watched the gig and overall I thought it was an excellent mix of music. It is evident that a lot of effort has gone into it and it was enjoyable to watch and listen to. My suggestion to people who were there last night and didn't enjoy it is to watch it again online, where the other members of the audience aren't there to annoy you and put you off.Well done to all involved, from the artists to the production team.

Loved it. Got a last minute ticket, and so happy I did. Loved Mark and the Orchestra..everyone was incredible. It was an ecclectic blend of songs, but they had a great vibe and the whole night was fantastic. (My highlight was Sean playing the Wurlitzer)
Rachel Johnson
Exciting idea, and big promises, but I am afraid the whole was a lot less than the sum of the parts. It was really just a show with many guest singers (some of them little-known) and average arrangements. Mark Ronson seems to me just a hyped up session musician/arranger. This is the second time they paired BBCCO up at the Electric Proms, but they need to engage someone who can write something more special for the orchestra, rather than the usual background nice strings plus horns stuff. A great opportunity wasted.
Gordon Drysdale
Great to watch, especially Kyle Falconer from the View. The whole place lit up including the orchestra and the responce from the crowd was fantastic. What more can one say. Well done Kyle you are amazing. Good luck in the future

Mark Ronson and Friends pulled it out of the bag! What a line up, they were all amazing. A very good start to another great Electric Proms. Kaisers on Friday, looking forward to that.
Barbara Jones
I thought it was brilliant. Never encountered Kyle from The View before - hardly surprising as I'm well over 50 - but he just made me smile through his entire performance and Daniel Merriweather himself and the associated production team was nothing short of genius.
Jo Pitman
I thought the concert was brilliant. I grew up coming to the Roundhouse and love what it has become. It is a great venue for music. I loved the combination of the orchestra and Mark Ronson, think he's brilliant. The variety of his guests worked really well. Lots of good beats and vocals. Great energy. Look forward to the next one.
Justin Fitzgerald
It was a fantastic gig. For me the highlight was Alex Greenwald singing 'Just'. The energy in the concert was better than anything I have been to in a long time.
Sarah Fuller
I thought it was brilliant. His new stuff was great and the collaboration with the orchestra was perfection x
Ali Brown
I thought that was a rubbish night out. Terry Hall saved the day for me but otherwise I thought it was very poor quality. The orchestra were cool and the instrumentals were good but the majority of the 'guests' were very boring. The atmosphere was rubbish, a lot of the crowd were just there to be seen and get drunk, no interest in music and talked all the time. Terry Hall - brilliant - legend, but where was Paul Weller?? On the list when the tickets went on sale then didn't turn up same as Lily Allen although that's no great loss. I'm going to the Kaiser Chiefs on Friday, hopefully they'll be better. Mark Ronsons fifteen minutes is up in my eyes.
LP
Candie Payne, Sean Lennon, Terry Hall, Tim Burgess & Mark Collins and the BBC Orchestra were all fantastic. However, it was incredibly disappointing overall....wasn't exactly Kasabian from the Electric Proms last year.
Ruby Crysttal
Enjoyed the show, although some of the vocals were decidely ropey and not up to the full orchestral treatment, and why did Wale have to swear so much? It's not a rap gig. Spoilt it for me. It looks and sounds like it must have been a wonderful evening
Toby Henness
Yet again the bbc have come out on top providing a unique experience at the Roundhouse. Mark and his team were brilliant and hearing "stop me" made my night. Role on next year!!!!
Liz Patterson
What a brilliant gig! I can't believe that Ricky Wilson came out to sing 'Oh My God.' Fantastic music, brilliant guest list and Mark Ronson himself. What more could you want!
