Coventry three-piece The Enemy were hailed by the NME as "the sound of British rock n’ roll", with their debut album 'We’ll live and die in these towns' claiming the number 1 spot on the UK charts this year. They brought their intelligent song writing and infectious hooks to Camden's Barfly.

- 20.00 - The tiny Barfly stage is overrun with roadies who remove Hadouken!'s kit and make the stage all of 10 inches bigger for The Enemy's arrival.
- 20.11 - The set lists have been sellotaped down and the fans at the front push to get a photo. It can't be long before the Coventry heroes come on woo hoo!
- 20.15 - I would do a celeb check around the venue but I'm sticking at the front - sorry.
- 20.15 - Huw Stephens is back... "Who'd have thought a band this big would be playing a place this size?" And to the sound of The Specials the boys swagger on...
- 20.21 - It's like a karaoke night as they open with 'Away From Here' "Last time we played Brixton Academy but this is much better!" says Tom

I was right at the front for this historic gig. Stuff Paul McCartney - these guys are the future of British rock and were brilliant last night. Can't wait for some new material from them - they reminded everyone just how much songwriting talent there is in this country.Excellent - cheers guys!
