Gibraltar foursome Breed 77, (that’s "seven-seven"), have been mashing up latin, rock and metal influences since forming in 1996. They brought their flamenco force to Barfly for rock night during the BBC Electric Proms.

- 21.09 - Classical guitars and mandolins litter the stage. There's a palpable anticipation for Breed 77's latin-metal fusion.
- 21.17 - This is ace! Total unironic metal horns from the band as they sprint on-stage. "Put your metal hands in the air", shouts singer Paul.
- 21.21 - Its 100% triumphant metal energy in here. Second track 'Petroleo' is devastating.
- 21.28 - Guitarists Danny and Pedro have this great schtick going: their faces bemused as if even they can't comprehend just how metal they are.
- 21.32 - Paul: "We weren't going to play London until 2008, but you don't refuse Bruce Dickinson."

I was there!! I did the intro for Brucie with Josh who i met there! Whoo! This was my 2nd Breed gig and they just keep getting better! You couldnt meet a more friendly down to earth bunch of lads and more talented lads EVER! LONG LIVE BREED!!! Annexxxx

In a word...amazing. Having seen Breed 77 before, I've gotta say that this was them at their best, with a fantastic set list compiled of their best known tracks and finishing with a nice revival of one of their first songs, Rise. Zombie was probably the best song of the night, with the crowd completely going wild. It would have been nice to see perhaps a few more songs such as The River and Floods (they only played 11) because it went so fast and everyone was craving more by the end of the night but all in all a fantastic evening.
