Your thoughts on The Raconteurs:

hey performance was fantastic i had the pleasure of meeting the raconteurs in newcastle last week it was the best day of my life yet, i had my photo taken with mister Jack White and i respect them all so much, i also hope The White Stripes don't end, and i think The Greenhornes too are fantastic

Jack White is not the only person to be in two bands. Corey Taylor, the lead singer, and James Root, a guitarist from Slipknot, are also in the band Stone Sour. Both of those bands are awesome in their own right, but since this page is about The Raconteurs, I'll say this: I only needed to see the video for Steady, As She Goes (the first one, not the new one where the band is boxcar racing) before buying their album, Broken Boy Soldiers.

Just incredible... I absolutely love the band but I do hope that Jack sticks to his affirmation that this is not the end of the White Stripes... Who'd ever believe that one person could be involved with two completely different bands that were both so amazing in their own right. Long live The Racontuers, The White Stripes, and the memory of John Peel!

I saw The Raconteurs play at Brixton last Friday and they blew me away. I have seen the Greenhornes and the White Stripes live, so a collaboration between the best of both bands and Brendan was always going to be something special. They rock live, Patrick has got to be one of the coolest drummers around and I can't wait for their second album and another tour!

K
I agree with you John. The Raconteurs rocked, but I did feel a bit sorry for them as some of the audience didn't seem to enjoy it or know any of their songs. I on the other hand was jumping around like a Duracel Bunny!!

Chris Wilson
Just incredible live, saw them at Reading Festival, rather see them over Muse any day of the week. If I could get hold of a recorded copy of their cover of 'Bang, Bang' I would be so happy. The best cover I think I have ever heard.

Gregory Silver
The Raconteurs are one of the greatest new bands to come out in a decade, and this performance proves it.

Yup.. great!!!!! Second best band ever.. played as well as at Brixton last Friday (except I got Jack's plectrum that night) Yay! And saw them at HMV earlier in the day!

What can you say? They Rock! What a wonderful set, wish I had been there, but seeing them online is just as good. I bet John Peel was rocking in heaven! My 5 year old son loves listening to them in the car! He loves Broken Boy Soldier.

John
They were amazing. Jack and Brendan look like they were born to play together and the whole band sounded so much more than just a spin off project. It was a shame a large section of the audience just seemed to be their to be seen ... and refused to move to the music ! I guess there must have been a few "industry" guest lists.
