Cardiff-based band Spencer McGarry Season are, unsurprisingly, led by Spencer McGarry, who has also played with the psychedelic acoustic outfit JT Mouse
and the experimental-ish Room Orchestra.
On their forthcoming album 'Episode 1', which Spencer describes as "straight up three-piece rock", shades of The Jam, The Kinks, Detroit Cobras, Talking Heads and XTC can be heard. Their next album will feature new songs in a different style, a pattern they aim to continue until a full six albums have been completed and performed!
Spencer McGarry Season were selected for Next Stage by Radio Wales with Adam Walton and Bethan and Huw on Radio 1 in the Nations.
