Peter Doherty is one of the most talked about musicians of our time, but he has received more attention for his controversial private life, than he has for his music.
Over several months Arena has had extensive access to Peter, filming him on tour and at his home in London. The film offers an insight into this complex, intriguing man who is rarely out of the media spotlight.
From 'My Way' (1979) to 'No Direction Home - Bob Dylan' (2005), Arena's first principle is adventurous film-making of the highest quality. Director Ashtar Alkhirsan has made a series of one-off documentaries for the BBC, including most recently The Unknown Hancock, a film about Tony Hancock the comedian.
The Electric Proms screening was the world premiere of the film.
