Leonard Cohen: singer, songwriter, poet, novelist, ultimate ladies man. Since bursting onto the scene in the 1960s, Leonard Cohen's haunting music and unique way with words have ensured his place as a highly influential and enduring artist.
At the heart of this film is a historic tribute concert at the Sydney Opera House featuring performances with Nick Cave, Rufus Wainwright, Jarvis Cocker, Antony of Antony and the Johnsons, Martha Wainwright, Beth Orton, and many others, as well as a special performance by Cohen with U2.
In a series of candid interviews tinged with his trademark wry humour, Cohen is captivating as he illuminates the stories behind some of his famous songs - like that infamous indiscretion with Janis Joplin - and his humble yet forever eloquent thoughts on the creative process.
The film will be in cinemas nationwide from 24 November.
