On October 9, 2004, the Beastie Boys handed out 50 cameras to audience members at their sold-out performance in New York. These 50 different passionate perspectives take the viewer deep inside the world of a live Beastie Boys show, energetically capturing the experience of a live musical performance like no film has ever done.
Giving you a view from the highest balcony seats to the Madison Square Garden loos, the result is a musical and cinematic celebration with Beastie Boys Mike D (Michael Diamond), Adrock (Adam Horovitz), and MCA (Adam Yauch); along with special appearances by Mixmaster Mike, Keyboard Money Mark, Alfredo Ortiz, and Doug E. Fresh. Adam Yauch (aka 'Nathanial Hornblower') made the final film using the footage provided by the enthusiastic fans, who recorded their highly personal impressions of a top night with their favourite band.
After the gig, all 50 cameras were safely returned to the producers. And the Beastie Boys returned them all too, back to the shops the very next day.
