Sam Mitchell couldn't escape the long arm of the law earlier this year...but she's headed back to our screens soon.
Following Danniella Westbrook's return to the show in 2009 Sam Mitchell continued to ruffle feathers in Albert Square. She was briefly engaged to Ricky, had a fling with Jack, dramatically disowned Peggy as her mother and was a suspect in the Archie Mitchell murder investigation. Finally, her past caught up with her as she went to prison for her role in Dirty Den Watts' death.
Executive Producer Bryan Kirkwood said, "When Sam Mitchell is in Albert Square trouble is never far behind. We last saw her heading for a stretch in prison and estranged by her family. When she returns on her release it's with a lot of grudges and a big secret. Danniella brings a lot of fun and mischief to the role of Sam and I'm looking forward to having her back where she belongs".
