EastEnders is proud to announce that two of its cast members were nominated for Birmingham's Black International Film Festival and Music Video & Screen Awards 2009. (MVSAs)!
Rudolph Walker, who plays fun-loving Patrick Trueman, received a Lifetime Achievement award (Ebony Award).

Tiana Benjamin was shortlisted in the Best UK Actress category for her role as feisty Chelsea Fox. EastEnders was also nominated for Best UK Drama with a Black Cast.
Diederick Santer says "Everyone at EastEnders is delighted that Rudolph has received this prestigious honour. Not only is he a legend of stage and screen, and a great friend and much-loved colleague to all of us at EastEnders, but he's also - as this award shows - a cultural icon and a key figure for the black British community."
