At 08:00 on 6th October, 2009, we unveiled the new Doctor Who logo and insignia. From 2010 this imagery will represent the show across the world and Steven Moffat, Doctor Who's new Lead Writer and Executive Producer was happy to share his thoughts on the stunning visuals.
'A new logo!' he enthused. 'The eleventh logo for the Eleventh Doctor - those grand old words, Doctor Who, suddenly looking newer than ever. And look at that, something really new - an insignia! DW in TARDIS form! Simple and beautiful, and most important of all, a completely irresistible doodle. I apologise to school notebooks everywhere, because in 2010 that's what they're going to be wearing.'
The current logo will feature on the three hugely-anticipated specials which form the finale of the Tenth Doctor's era. But when the TARDIS touches down in the new series in 2010 it's all change as we welcome a new Doctor, new companion and the new logo!
