The Cybermen march across the Moon's surface. |
They're heading for the Moonbase. |
Their second invasion has begun. Walking on the Moon
Inside, the Doctor is worried - can the Cybermen just march in? |
The Cybermen get in touch over the radio... |
to insist that 'Resistance is Useless.' |
Frantically, the Moonbase team try to get in touch with Earth... |
... but they're having trouble getting through. |
The signal is simply being jammed. |
 The Doctor realises... |
... that the Cybermen are destroying the aerial. |
In theory, all the humans have to do is to wait for rescue from Earth. |
But the Doctor thinks the Cybermen know the rescue ship is coming. |
The Doctor is correct. The Cybermen have spotted the craft. |
On the surface, they are contacting one of their controlled humans. |
Dr Evans is once more acting under Cyber-control. |
Evans comes around in the sickbay... |
 ... attacks an attendant... |
... and leaves him unconscious. |
In the control room, they're working flat out to keep the Gratitron working. |
Benoit is tuning in the radio to the Cybermen's communications. |
Back in sickbay, Dr Evans picks up a cybergun... |
... and is ordered to the Gravitron chamber. |
In the control room, they're now short-staffed and tired. |
Ben learns how to operate some controls. |
Menawhile, Dr Evans slips into the Gravitron chamber. |
Evans overpowers the man on duty, and takes over. |
Out in the control room, no-one has noticed - they've just seen the ship from Earth. |
The Doctor is still worried. |
The ship gets nearer to the Moonbase... |
... then they watch, horrified, as it's suddenly flung out towards the Sun. |
There's nothing that can be done for the doomed crew. |
The Moonbase crew can't understand how it was done. |
Then the Doctor points out to them that it must have been caused by the Gravitron. |
Hobson realises who's in Gravitron chamber ... |
 Yes, it's Evans. |
Back in the medical bay, the remaining victims are also coming back under cyber-control. |
Ben and Jamie are working quickly to barricade them in. |
Evans continues his tasks in the Gravitron chamber. |
Hobson tries to reason with him, in vain. |
Evans is manipulating the Earth's weather - he's now about to cause floods across Europe. |
The Cybermen order the humans to surrender. |
Hobson tells them they won't get back into the base. |
'We are in it already.' the Cyberman replies. There is a massive explosion... |
... and air rushes out of the Moonbase. |
The Cybermen have punctured the dome. |
The humans rush for oxygen masks. |
Frantically, Hobson and Benoit grab a plastic tray. |
They seal the puncture with the tray... |
... and the atmosphere starts to return to normal. |
Since Evans is unconscious, they can regain control of the Gravitron. |
 Another cybership lands. |
The Cybermen issue their threat. |
The humans must surrender to the Cybermen or they'll be attacked again. |
The Cybermen fire their gun at the dome... |
... but the gun's blast is deflected. |
The Doctor realises the Gravitron has deflected the blast. |
The Cybermen start to march on the dome again. |
The Doctor and Hobson hurriedly work to re-align the Gravitron, pointing it down at the Moon's surface. |
The Doctor has realised that the Cybermen themselves are affected by the gravitron. |
When the Gravitron is repositioned, the Cybermen and their ships are flung off into space. |
As the Moonbase crew celebrates... |
... the Doctor, Ben, Polly and Jamie slip away. |
The four travellers reach the TARDIS. |
Polly notices a shooting light in the sky - is it the last of the Cybermen? |
 The TARDIS dematerialises... |
... and outside the base, the lunar landscape is now empty. |
The TARDIS is in perfect flight - but the Doctor has summoned up a worrying vision of the future. It is a giant claw... |
