Introducing Toots Earl And The Band That Time Forgotfrom Plymouth

You thought long and hard about which track to demo...? Yes all our music is different but we finally decided on "Dancing On My Shoes" - it's the story of a Father's recollections of his Daughter and the realisation that she is now responsible for her own actions.
Which three words describe your music...? Uncompromising, Pop, Power!
How did you decide upon the name for the group...? Toots Earl is a derivation of the French for all alone and "The Band That Time Forgot" comes from the title of one of our songs. Who's who in the band...? Albert "Toots" Earl is the singer, loves life, hates mediocrity. Johnny St Clair Lang plays guitar, loves order and hates surprises. Bev Day is on keyboards, loves Plymouth Argyle and hates losing. Jerry and John Hutchinson, bass and drums, love playing, hate working!
What's the best and worst thing about Devon...? The scenery is definitely the best thing. The worst is the proliferation of signs and adverts that mar it.
 | On the stairway to success? Toots Earl |
Whose records do you have in your collection? Tom Waits, Kate Bush, Earth Wind And Fire, The Beatles, Steely Dan, Deep Forest, Eva Cassidy, Oscar Brown Jr, John Mayall, Ian Drury, Clapton, Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Sinatra, Billy Holliday, Michael Holliday, Bob The Builder!
And what about the future...? We hope to continue creating music that we believe in; to perform it if at all possible, to record if affordable and to promote it using the new frontiers of Cyberspace. Let's go then...take a listen and tell us what you think...
