Introducing Marc Boddy from Tiverton

Three words that describe your music...? Alien Space Funk!
Hmmm sounds like we're in for some fun here then. Tell me a bit about yourself, Marc. I've been working from my home studio ("Chunk Muffin") for the last two years, I started out knowing absolutely nothing about studios or dance music production. For the previous six or seven years I was promoting free parties and clubs all over Devon and the South West and I've also DJ'd in London. I now spend most of my time organising the region members office of the British Association of DJs.
You've got a stage name too...? Yes, Beat Freak - it was my street name when I was a break dancer in the 80's. What' are your loves and hates? I love free parties in the woods and hate noise pollution orders (I have 10 of them!) - tractors also get on my nerves - slowing up the roads like they do.
Tell me about the track "Check It". Check It was written a couple of years ago on very basic equipment - it's back now, tarted up with a 2000 feel to it.

Whose records do you have in your collection? I've been collecting underground and house for the last eight years, I also had my own record shop so I have many artists. My favourites are Freddie Fresh and Freestylers.
It's not easy to become famous in your business, although Fat Boy Slim hasn't done too bad a job, but what's the first thing you would you do if you did...? I'd pay off all my mum's bills and then hopefully work with artists I admire like Freddie Fresh or Freestylers.
