| | It just seems that a lot of music nowadays is on a rota; playlists at radio stations, setlists for bands who vary their songs on a tour, and the lineups for festivals are also almost on a rota year in year out. Rota is also short for rotation and the whole idea of ever changing
What has been your most memorable gig? We have done so many gigs over the last few years it is hard to choose just one. But probably the gig we played in France was the most memorable because the people were just so friendly, they gave us an all expenses paid for hotel and we ended up getting invited to jam with a French band in the early hours of the morning.
Which three words best describe your music? Powerful, Dark, Atmospheric. Who's who in the band? | Will, Rich, Adam and Nathan |
Will Odgers Vocals, Piano ,Harmonica, Guitar. Richard Simic Drums. Adam Nickels Bass. And me, Nathan Gregory Guitars. You've chosen to Demo a track called "Forever Alone"... That's right, it’s from our last CD, although we’ve moved on a bit since then. It’s purely a song about the traumas of a long distance relationship
How do you rate the music scene in Devon? There are not enough people supporting local bands and so it makes it very difficult for bands like us get any kind of record interest by playing gigs in just Devon, you have to go to London if you want to get noticed and it shouldn’t be like that! But Devon does do good ice-cream!
Finish the sentence, "If we become famous" We will have the time of our lives!! And help people get into music, help the bands that are like we are now. We have big ambitions, and hope to be headlining major festivals before too long.
Finally then, whose records do you have in YOUR collection? Our biggest influences are Catherine Wheel and the Counting Crows but we do listen to everything from rap to rock 'n' roll. You’ve got to have open ears to all kinds of music. |
