Who's who in the band? Well the bearded monster is Baker on guitar and lead vocals. Jamie Walton is our lead guitar maestro, with a crush on Justin Hawkins! And there's Phil Wildman the drum animal and Bramble Tate our bass luvver. How long have you been rocking together? Remember The Alamo was formed in 2002 but we've changed line-up a few times between then and now - mainly bass players.
The band members are all from Plymouth and played a few gigs at the tail end of 2003, then regrouped over the winter to record some rough demos.
The band are currently gigging extensively throughout the summer and hope to record some new stuff soon. Why 'Remember The Alamo'? It's from the immortal Texan chant in honour of fallen heroes - and a computer game called Scorched Earth, a classic!
You've chosen 'Johnny's 12 Bar Chops' as your demo track... It's one of the most 'complete' sounding tracks that we recorded in the demo sessions. It also features some of Jamie's best guitar work and probably his finest riff - written on the spot I hasten to add! This one always goes down well live too.
If you were throwing a dinner party who would you invite and why? Arthur Fonzarelli (The Fonz from Happy Days), Judas (from such biblical stories as "I Stabbed Jesus In The Back") and probably Marilyn Monroe to get drunk and dance on the tables!
Whose records would we find in your collection? All our guitar heroes - favouring The Beatles, AC/DC, The Stones, The Doors - as well as some of the new upcomers like The Libertines and The Darkness.
What do you think of the current music scene? There's not enough Rock 'N' Roll the way it was meant to be performed. But it's healthy for so many bands to be playing the styles they prefer - no matter how much they suck!
Complete the sentence "If we become famous..." ...we promise not to annoy everyone by placing our ugly mugs on every magazine possible.
