Renowned wildlife artist Robin Armstrong has managed to capture the beauty and richness of Dartmoor's natural habitat in magnificent style.
"Dartmoor River" is a celebration of the moor's rivers and streams - which are home to an array of flora and fauna.

It takes the reader on a journey across Dartmoor's riverbanks, and stops off at all of Armstrong's favourite spots, where the birds and riverlife are reproduced ed on canvas.
The paintings are beautiful - there are otters, hedgehogs, rabbits, swans, kingfishers, egrets, brown trout, peregrine falcons, owls, foxes, and puffins - spotted where the river meets the sea.
There are also river and moorland scenes, painted at various times of the season - quite breathtaking.
Alongside the paintings are musings and recollections by the author, and there are also literary quotes, which are used to sum up the aura of the moor's river life.

Armstrong moved to Devon from London after falling in love with the place some 35 years ago.
He now has a studio in Lopwell - overlooking a river, as you'd expect.
He ends the book with some serious words, though, by warning against the continued decimation of the environment.
He writes: "In Dartmoor River, we have a collection of paintings, drawings and musings of one individual, covering a period of 30 years.

"The pictures speak for the thousands of hours of pleasure the moorland rivers have given me during that time and continue today.
"The rivers and streams of Dartmoor will still be here when we are gone.
"Let us just hope that, in years to come, the little brown trout on the high moor can be enjoyed as much by those to come, as they have by this one very lucky individual."
This is Armstrong's sixth book, and his most ambitious project to date.
