Broadsands is a red sandy beach which is between Paignton and Brixham in Torbay. It has great views of Tor Bay, making it popular with locals and visitors. The beach is particularly popular with families. It's situated between rocky headlands and is ideal for children as it has shallow water safe for swimming in. There is also parkland next to the beach and a sizeable pay car park. ![]() Children enjoying the beach at Broadsands The beach has good seasonal facilities - food outlets, beach huts and toilets. There is a ski lane, which is very popular with water sport enthusiasts. From here there is also a short coastal walk across fields to Elbury Cove, a pebbly beach, which has an old ruined cottage at the water's edge. How to get to Broadsands: From Paignton, take the coastal road to Brixham. The beach is well signposted, and is taken via a left hand turn off the main road.
