Don't be too shocked to hear that a huge amount of work also goes into studying.

If you need proof why not join us as we take a look at the Fashion Department's final year collection.

The fashion course at Derby is highly respected and a number of the designers have actually got jobs with some of the market leaders.

Mandeep Bharij has completed a freelance attachment with Goldigga, Ruth McAuliffe's now working as a production assistant for Monsoon and Melissa Argyle - who has designed the totally futuristic 'smart wear pocket' - will be putting her technical skills to good use for Adams.

As usual the fashion show was a slick and professional affair. Toni and Guy were in charge of hair, whilst freelance make-up artists put roses on the cheeks of the models.

Each collection had its own soundtrack. The music was as varied as the clothes themselves. Ears were assaulted with hardcore hip-hop, soothing sounds from the Amelie soundtrack and of course, a spot of Radiohead.
