The auction was the 25th such event and the appeal has raised more than a million pounds for groups and organisations in Derbyshire and East Staffordshire over the past quarter of a century. ![]() Cash for Burton and District YMCA The biggest beneficiary from the final appeal was the Burton-upon-Trent and District YMCA which received £13,500. The grant will go towards a second-hand van to help meet its growing workload. The other beneficiaries are listed below: Ben Parker Trust Fund - £3,800 BBC Radio Derby editor Simon Cornes said: "Our listeners should be immensely proud of having raised over a million pounds.
