Nik Hewitt making compost
Nik does some serious compost-making

Carbon Footprint

Nik has been calculating the carbon footprint of his house. He says although he's doing quite well in terms of recycling and being green he'd like to do more. But, as he explains in his video, he doesn't know what the next step should be.

Nik Hewitt already recycles glass, metal, plastics and paper, makes compost, cycles everywhere and takes other 'green' measures such as sourcing local produce wherever possible.

Now he wants to be even more environmentally friendly - but doesn't know how.

And he says he doesn't understand how some people can do nothing when recycling is so easy!

He's right. Even energy saving light bulbs save you money (in the mid to long term), as well as being great for the planet.
